  • Yes. Out-the-box the JBL Bar series soundbar recognizes volume and mute controls from the most common TV remote controls. The JBL Bar series has IR learning. You can use this feature to teach the soundbar to response to your TV's remote control as well.
  • Yes, the smooth leather headband from the K601 can be fitted onto the K701, but since it is probably no longer available as a spare part, the only option is to butcher an old 601 to do it. The work involved is very intricate and complicated, and paying a technician to do it is not an economical solution. Owner must be capable of completely dismantling the headphones, including soldering, and to reassemble them. And Harman cannot offer any assistance in doing this. As of late 2017, a new version of K701 is being marketed by AKG Professional. This version features a smooth headband instead of the version with bumps, so the issue no longer applies.
  • It is possible to replace the ear pads, but there are details to consider. On Elite 700: The ear pads are held in place by a plastic plate with claws, and some of the claws will most likely break off when you remove the pad. You do this by grabbing under the edge where the fabric ends, then pulling hard outward. The claws will eventually let go, and some of them will break off, rattling inside the ear pod. The only way to get them out is to unscrew the speaker plate, lift it up, and shake out the broken-off claws. The new pads are simply centered over the speaker plate, and the claws pressed into the holes with a firm pressure. On Everest 700: The ear pads are glued into position with double-adhesive tape. Pull the old pads off with a forceful, steady pull, until the glue lets go. Remove the protective layer on the new pads, and carefully position them correctly before pressing home all the way around the edge.
  • Yes, you can see all voice interactions with the Harman Kardon Allure by using the Alexa app and visiting History in Settings. Your interactions are grouped by question or request. Tap an entry to see more detail, provide feedback, or listen to audio sent to the Cloud for that entry by tapping the play icon. Sometimes Alexa may not understand you perfectly, and the translations you see in History may not always reflect exactly what you said (for example, they may be inaccurate or incomplete). You can help us improve your experience by providing feedback on inaccurate translations in History.

The headphones will stay on as long as there is power in the battery, which is close to 30 hours for pure NC function. Please note that there is a slight residual noise from the NC system, which will be drowned out by music playing, or by surrounding noise such as airplane noise. If you use the NC in surroundings that are near quiet to begin with, you may not get an improvement in noise level.
  • Yes, but only with music via cable, and noise reduction will not be active. As soon as you insert the charging cable micro-usb plug, the Bluetooth and NC functionalities will be switched off, and they cannot be reactivated unless you remove the charging cable, and there must of course be a charge in the battery. If you listen to cabled music while charging, be prepared to hear noise under certain conditions. Both computers and switch-mode power supplies can be very noisy, and this noise can sometimes be heard as a whine or buzz. This can only be eliminated by using a power supply that does not create noise.

  • Our InfinityLab power bank should work with most cases in the market, and it depends on the design of the protected case/cover.
However, if your case’s bottom surface is thicker than 3mm, it may impact your wireless charging experience, and we recommend taking off the protected case/cover for the best charging experience.

If your phone case/cover has a metal plate on the back, it will not charge your device since it is a security feature of the FOD (Foreign object detection).  This means our Infinity Lab Qi-certified power bank can detect if a foreign object, such as metal, is on its surface. If that happens, the wireless charger either stops charging or does not start charging at all.

  • General information about WiSA:

WiSA is a wireless system designed specifically for audio and speakers. An audio system that incorporates WiSA technology has it's own internal wireless system. It is capable of doing 96kHz/24bit audio with an audio latency of only 5ms, virtually undetectable by the human ear.

For more information on WiSA technology, please go to the official WiSA website.

If a product is WiSA Certified, it can be used with any other WiSA certified product. For example a WiSA Ready TV with at transmitter.
Note: The overall sound quality is dependent on the processing and setup in the WiSA TV & transmitter, and may result in a performance (EQ, crossover and levels) not intended by the speaker manufacturer. To be sure that the Citation products sound the best, use a Citation Bar product as the main "hub".

    Current WiSA Certified products:

    Citation Surrounds
    Citation Sub
    Citation Sub S
    Citation Towers

Current products making use of WiSA technology:

    Citation Bar
    Citation Multibeam 700
    HK surround

    Limitations:

WiSA does not offer 3D audio formats like Dolby Atmos, and DTS:X yet, so at the moment it is limited to 5.1 or 7.1 Dolby Digital. So regardless of which brand of WiSA speaker you choose, Dolby Atmos will not be available yet.
  • It is not uncommon to have charging problems with True Wireless headphones. You may encounter that charging stops, does not start at all or that one of the ear buds suddenly switches on and begins the pairing process. This is almost always caused by dirt on the metal charging contacts. These contacts are vulnerable because they can easily be contaminated by sweat, skin grease, or ear wax. They are usually gold plated, but gold plating does not prevent surface dirt.

If you have charging problems, the first step is to always clean all contact points, on each earbud and on the charging case.
You will need: cotton cloth or makeup swab, cotton swabs and rubbing alcohol. Also a pencil with eraser for further cleaning.
    needed-tools.png
Use a cotton swab with some rubbing alcohol to clean the charging terminals of the headphones. Rotate the swab and scrub lightly on each contact surface, then use a cotton cloth to remove any dust and cotton residue left on the headphones. It is important to perform this process periodically to keep your headphones clean, thus avoiding affecting the charging speed/quality.
    cleaning-earbud-contact-points.png
Wipe the contact pins in the charging case with a clean cotton swab. The swab can be slightly moistened with rubbing alcohol, but it is important that the interior is completely dry before closing the box. Use the cotton cloth and wait for it to dry.
    cleaning-charging-case.png
Repeat until the contact points are visibly clean, and charging should work as designed.

Try cleaning the contacts with the tip of a pencil and the eraser at the end of the pencil, the graphite and rubber can help to re-establish charging also.
This procedure can be performed on all TWS earphones and cases.
  • It can fast charge almost anything with a USB-A or USB-C cable—phones, earbuds, power banks, cameras, even your laptop or gaming console.
  • This product is not supported by Connect + or Partyboost on the JBL Portable app. They cannot connect to other portable speakers wirelessly.
