12" (300mm) 3-way, high-precision control monitor loudspeaker.

Throughout several decades, more professional recording studios have used the JBL® Model 4310 than any other monitor, setting the standard of power and realism for all that followed. The 4319 control monitor, with its unmistakable blue baffle and grille, continues that proud tradition. Engineered to play loud and long with unequalled dynamics, sonic clarity and tonal accuracy, the 4319 features a massive, 12-inch (300-millimeter) woofer driven by a Differential Drive® (U.S. patent no. 5,748,760 and other patents pending) dual voice-coil assembly, a large inverted-dome midrange driver and a fast magnesium/aluminum dome tweeter. Together, these advanced transducers deliver quick, tight bass, a natural, well-focused midrange and clear, distinct highs to create listening experiences with all the richness and detail of live performances. Die-cast transducer frames dissipate heat to minimize distortion caused by power compression, while a heavily braced enclosure virtually eliminates unwanted internal resonances. Music professionals and critical listeners have only the highest expectations for JBL studio monitors, and the JBL 4319 delivers brilliantly.

JBL engineers designed the JBL 4319 Studio Monitor to deliver enhanced, room-filling sound from a compatible AVR (audio/video receiver) or 25- to 200-watt power amplifier.
A 12-inch (300-millimeter) woofer cone with a Differential Drive® (U.S. patent no. 5,748,760 and other patents pending), dual 3-inch (75-millimeter) voice-coil assembly delivers deep, crisp bass at all listening levels. Dual neodymium magnets in a push-pull configuration maintain precise control over the cone’s motion and dissipate heat more effectively than conventional magnetic assemblies for low-distortion, high-output performance. A die-cast aluminum frame further dissipates heat, increasing power handling, while the shallow, Aquaplas-coated woofer cone is optimally damped to reduce distortion.
An inverted magnesium/aluminum dome and a 1-inch (25-millimeter), copper voice coil combine to produce flat response with low distortion and increased power handling for dynamic performance at high listening levels. A die-cast frame minimizes back pressure for more linear motion, lower distortion and natural-sounding reproduction of voices.
A 1-inch (25-millimeter) magnesium/aluminum alloy dome tweeter produces realistic dynamics far beyond the range of human hearing, with ultrasmooth response that is ideal for high-resolution audio formats.
A pair of front-mounted ports provides optimal low-frequency tuning for extended bass response. These ports also allow you to place the speakers against a wall and hear no sound anomalies.
Adjustable midrange and high-frequency attenuators within a high-quality dividing network let you tailor the 4319’s midrange and high-frequency performance to match room acoustics or your personal preference.
JBL loudspeakers have been the choice of music and movie professionals for more than 60 years; they are behind the screens of more than 50 percent of all movie theaters and hang in concert venues everywhere. Many of your favorite songs and movie soundtracks were mixed or mastered on JBL studio monitors. But you don’t have to be a recording-industry pro to bring JBL sound home. Our home systems use technologies, materials and manufacturing techniques developed for professional speakers.
