  • In the owner's manual, the trigger input is described as "optional". But without a trigger cable, it seems impossible to switch the amplifier on and off. How come?
    The amplifier has a signal sensor on the high-level (speaker level) inputs, so it is not necessary to use a trigger cable when input is high-level, and connected to the high-level inputs. However, low-level input signals through the RCA-phone input sockets do not activate a signal sensor, so use of a trigger cable is MANDATORY for low-level input signal use.
  • In the speaker setup menu, I can select HKTS 60, but my speaker system is HKTS 65. What do I do?
    The HKTS 65 is a new version of the HKTS 60, with minor improvements. Please select HKTS 60 in the menu.

    Our A2DP profile only support SBC Codec for ESQUIRE 2.

    This product is rated IP67, which is different from IPX7. IP67 protects the product from submersion in 1 meter (3.3 feet) of water for up to 30 minutes. It is also resistant against dust. Dust accumulation around electronics can lead to hardware failure, so the IP67 rating is an extremely beneficial addition to this product.

    This unit is fully dust-proof, and can withstand continuous immersion in water (up to 1.5 meters / 4.9ft for 30 minutes). 
  • I received my InfinityLab power bank, but it could not be charged
    With different storage conditions and shipping durations, your power bank may go into deep sleep mode to protect the battery. If the power bank does not start charging your device when used for the first time, connect the power bank to a power source and charge it for 15-30 minutes, it should then work normally.   • Is an analog aux signal fed to the jack input available on the analog jack output?
    Yes, but only with power on the Adapt. When it senses a signal on the analog aux input, the input ring will light up green automatically, and the signal will become available from the line output, for transmission with cable to e.g. an amplifier. It is important to note that there will be a slight delay in the signal that comes out of the line output jack, even if it does not involve any wireless functions.
  • Is Bluetooth APT X streaming supported by the JBL Bar Studio, Bar 2.1, Bar 3.1, Bar 5.1 and Bar 9.1?
    The speaker uses Bluetooth version 4.2 but does NOT support APT X.
  • Is it ok to wash it if the fabric part gets dirty?
    Yes you can wash it if the fabric is dirty. But remember to close the USB cover.
  • Is it possible to adjust light intensity on the display or the back panel ring lamp?
    The lights cannot be adjusted by user. The digital front panel display has automatic light intensity adjustment, which follows the level of light in the room.
  • Is it possible to change the Bluetooth name?
    Yes, in the Harman Kardon Remote APP, it is possible to change the AURA's Bluetooth name.
  • Is it possible to change the name of a receiver with internet connection?
    Yes, on your computer, enter the IP address of the receiver in the internet browser. In the page that opens, it is possible to change the name.
  • Is it possible to charge a smartphone or tablet that is connected to the ESQUIRE 2?
    Yes, when the Esquire 2 is switched ON, it can charge a smartphone or tablet (or other USB-chargeable device that matches) through the special USB port. This function is available both when Esquire 2 is running on battery, and when connected to a charging port itself.
  • Is it possible to clean the inside of the AURA?
    It is not possible to clean the clear dome of the AURA. The dome cannot be removed without damaging the product. The only solution if debris falls into the AURA is to try to shake it out through the bass tube. We cannot recommend using a vacuum cleaner to suck or blow through the bass tube.
  • Is it possible to connect a subwoofer to the soundbar?
    The JBL Bar 300 does not support a subwoofer. Alternatively the JBL Bar 500 has a wireless subwoofer included.
  • Is it possible to connect multiple Bluetooth devices to my SB20?
    No, it only supports one Bluetooth connection. Simply disconnect the paired phone/tablet from your Bluetooth device settings, then hold down the Bluetooth button for 3 seconds, and then you are able to pair with the new smartphone/tablet.
  • Is it possible to connect rear/surround speakers
    The JBL Bar 500 does not support rear/surround speakers. Alternatively the JBL Bar 800/1000 has detachable wireless rear speakers included.
  • Is it possible to control the No. 585 via IP?
    Yes, you can control the No. 585 over port 7701, providing the control is set for Ethernet in the menu. The commands are the same as RS232 and you connect to it by telnet on port 7701 of the IP Address of the unit. Note there is no echo of the command when you type and it answers with a copy of the command and OK if it accepted the command and EH? if it did not.
  • Is it possible to do any IR learning commands for SB20?
    The SB20 supports these programmable IR codes for your TV remote: Volume+, Volume-, Mute and Power commands.
  • Is it possible to listen to music on TUNE600BTnc while charging it?
    Yes, but only via cable, and noise cancelling cannot be activated meanwhile. Since the charging socket is located on top of the ear pod, adjustment is limited in that direction while the micro-USB plug is inserted.
  • Is it possible to listen to music over Bluetooth without noise cancellation being active?
    No, the noise cancelling function is always active when Bluetooth is on. If you want to listen to music without NC on, you must use the cabled audio connection.
  • Is it possible to listen to music while charging the headphone?
    Yes, charging and listening simultaneously is possible. With N90Q, charging takes place at all times when listening to digital audio from a USB socket.
  • Is it possible to perform input setup without the remote control on AVR 151S, 161S, 171S?
    No, in order to go through the setup procedure, it is necessary to activate the (OSD) On-Screen-Display, and this is not possible on the front panel buttons, you need the remote control. Only the remote control features the necessary OSD button.
  • Is it possible to program my SB20 to respond to my TV remote?
    Yes, the Harman Kardon SB20 features IR learning functionality. Please follow these steps: Step 1: Power on your Harman Kardon SB20. Step 2: Press and hold the SB20 surround button for 5 seconds. This will make the system enter IR learning mode. The power button will flash amber while in learning mode. Step 3: Now the SB20 can learn to respond to your TV remote control. These commands can be learned: To learn the SB 20 VOL+ command, press volume + on the SB 20 top panel, then press VOL+ on your TV remote control. The power button should blink amber, and the surround button will light up for 1 second. This will indicate that the process was successful. Repeat the procedure for volume-, mute and power on/off. Step 4: To exit the learning mode, press and hold the surround button for 5 seconds again. The power button light goes out.
  • Is it possible to replace the ear pads of the OR 300?
    Yes, they are quite easy to remove, and with a little care, new ear pads can be fitted in one or two minutes. You can do this yourself.
  • Is it possible to reset my Boost TV?
    Yes, press Volume + and Surround button at the same time for 5 seconds.
  • Is it possible to reset my JBL Cinema Base?
    Yes, this can be done very easily by doing the following procedure: 1: Power on the Cinema Base. 2: Simultaneously press the “Surround” and “VOL –” buttons (at the same time). 3: The Cinema Base source LED button will light amber in color, for 1 second, then the power button LED light will go off and on. 4: Your Cinema Base is now reset.
  • Is it possible to reset my SB20?
    Yes, by holding down Volume+ and surround button for more than 5 seconds will reset the SB20. The SB20 will automatically reboot itself, after it has been reset.
  • Is it possible to reset my SB 250?
    Yes, switch the soundbar ON, then press the volume - ( minus ) and surround buttons at the same time for 5 seconds. Now the device is reset.
  • Is it possible to reset my SB450?
    The JBL Cinema SB450 can be reset to its default factory settings and erasing all programming. To reset the soundbar, press and hold Volume+ and Virtual Surround buttons for 5s.
  • Is it possible to switch noise cancelling on and off on N60 NC Wireless while playing over Bluetooth?
    No, NC is always on when Bluetooth is on. However, it is possible to select NC on or off when listening via cable.
  • Is it possible to turn off the blinking blue LED light from my headphones?
    No. There is no way to turn off the blue LED light from our wireless headphones unless they are turned off.
  • Is it possible to turn up the volume using my voice on Harman Kardon Allure speaker?
    Yes, Alexa has various voice commands to turn up the volume. Try saying "Alexa, turn it up" or "Alexa, set volume to 5".
  • Is it possible to update my JBL SB150 by myself?
    If any update exist, then it is only possible to get it updated, via our authorized service center. The USB port on the back, is meant for service use only. Contact support for more information.
  • Is it possible to use a cable with remote control and microphone with AKG K550 MKIII?
    While this is indeed possible, no such cable is made by AKG, so only cables from third-party manufacturers may be considered. Please note that internal pin configuration must be identical to the original cable for such a cable to work with the headphones.
  • Is it possible to use any of the AKG N5005 cables for the N40 model?
    No, this is not possible. Even though the MMCX (micro-miniature coaxial) connectors seem identical, they are not the same dimensions.
  • Is it possible to use more than one headset with one transmitter?
    Yes, two headsets can be used simultaneously with one transmitter.
  • Is it possible to use WPS PIN for connecting my BDS to the WiFi?
    Our BDS system does supports WPS PIN, please do the following: 1. Select WPS PIN from the Setup Wi-Fi list. A PIN code is displayed on the screen. 2: Enter this same PIN on your wireless router’s internal web page to connect. See your router’s user manual for more details.
  • Is it sufficient to put my BDS into standby, before connecting a Source or a TV?
    For your personal safety and to avoid possible damage to your equipment and speakers, it is always a good practice to turn off and unplug the AVR and ALL source equipment from the AC output before making any audio or video system connections.

    No, there is no leather on this model.
  • Is my AVR model capable of processing both audio and video through the HDMI inputs?
    Yes, our AVR's have ARC (Audio Return Channel) on one of our HDMI ports (Labeled ARC). ARC will process both video and audio coming from your TV into the AVR and back, and if you have another source like BlueRay player in one of the other HDMI ports. It will transfer video and audio via the ARC port to your TV.
  • Is my data safe when using JBL LINK 10, 20, 300 or 500?
    Your security comes first with everything Google does. If your data is not secure, it is not private. That is why Google services are protected by one of the world’s most advanced security infrastructures. Conversations within JBL LINK speakers are encrypted by default.
  • Is my OMNI BAR+ system 2.1 or 3.1?
    The OMNI BAR+ as standalone system is 2.1, however when using it in a 5.1 wireless surround system, it generates a virtual acoustic center speaker to complete the 5.1 Surround system. In that combination it will be a 3.1 system.
  • Is my Partybox Supported by the JBL Partybox App?
    This model is not supported by the JBL Partybox App.
  • Is the AKG N5005 a wired or a wireless headphone?
    Actually the N5005 is very special, because it is BOTH wireless and wired, right out of the box! This is a result of its advanced design, where the cables can be removed from the speaker pods by clicking apart the MMCX connectors. The flexibility in this arrangement becomes very clear when you look at the cables that are in the box when you open it. First, there is the normal cable with 3.5 mm stereo jack and a three-button remote control. This cable is for normal sources, smartphones, tablet computers etc. There is a switch on the back of the remote that permits you to select Android/universal or iOS remote function, for total flexibility. Second, you get the Bluetooth cable, which has a battery box and a three-button remote on the cable. This cable simply converts your N5005 into a wireless headphone. AptX and AAC are supported, but not aptX HD or LL. BT transmission will not be capable of unlocking the full potential of the N5005 due to its nature as a lossy compression system, but it is nice to have this option. The cable has a chin slide lock that can secure the headphones under your chin. Playing time is up to 8 hours, and charging takes place in less than 2 hours. Third, as an indication of the high quality of audio that N5005 masters, you get a special, fully balanced cable without remote control. It uses the 4-pole 2.5 mm jack that you will find on the new generation of high-end headphone amplifiers and music players. With this connection and the proper source material and electronics, you can experience the pinnacle of music reproduction.

    No. All of the Everest Elite headphones are designed to offer the key features and benefits to the user without the need for the app. The My JBL Headphones App gives the consumer another level of control over the headphones.     Yes. The Clip 3 has an IPX 7 rating. You can take the speaker under water, down to 1 meter depth up to 30 minutes.
  • Is the conference function of the Esquire model dependent on the operating system of a computer?
    No, the operating system itself is not crucial, and no additional driver is necessary for Bluetooth connection of speaker and microphone.
  • Is the device still splash-proof if the zipper over the connection panel is open?
    No, only if the zipper is closed.
  • Is the Dual Wireless Sound for the Onyx Studio 5 compatible with the Onyx Studio 3 that also features the Dual Wireless Sound?*
    No. The Dual Wireless Sound featured in the Onyx Studio 5 only gives you the capability to connect to a second Onyx Studio 5. It is not possible to connect the Onyx Studio 3 and 5 together. The Onyx Studio 5 can only be connected to no more than one other Onyx Studio 5.
  • Is the E35 a wireless headphone?
    No. This is a wired headphone that features a one button microphone.
  • Is the E55BT and over-ear or on-ear headphone?
    E55BT is an over-ear headphone.
  • Is the Flip 7 waterproof and does it have a waterproof IP rating?

    The JBL Flip 7 has an IP68 water and dustproof rating, meaning it's protected from water and dirt.

    The speaker can be submerged in up to 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes.

  • Is the Focus 500 a water-proof headphone?
    No. Although the Focus 500 can be exposed to some water and sweat, overexposure can cause significant damage to the headphones and can compromise the controls.
  • Is the Game-Chat balance dial compatible with all platforms?
    No, it is compatible with PC and Mac, but not with PS4, XBOX One, Nintendo Switch or Mobile.
