Harman continuously strives to improve the performance of our speakers through software updates in the JBL Portable App. To optimize battery life and performance for your speaker, please perform a software update:
First download the JBL Portable App from the App store or Google Play store to your mobile device.
Then connect to the speaker by Bluetooth.
Open the JBL Portable App and select settings to check and install the new Software version.
The red dot indicates the presence of an update (see image below).

This product features up to 10 hours of playtime depending on the content and volume level you are listening to. 
Battery Charging Time is 3 hours at 5V, 0.5A

The Boombox 2 features the same battery capacity as the first generation Boombox. The Boombox 2 battery specs have recently been changed in measurement specifications but still provides up to 24 hours of audio playback.

Under normal usage, the battery should remain at 80% capacity after 300 charge cycles.

What is a charge cycle?

Your power bank is 100% charged, and then one cycle means when you discharge the device to 0% and charge it all the way up to 100%. That is one full charge cycle.

Installation of a powered subwoofer/speaker in an automobile requires specific knowledge and experience.  If you’ve read the manual and do not feel comfortable performing the installation and setup yourself, we recommend that installation be carried out at a specialized center by a professional.
 

The BASSPRO GO uses the original Connect feature.  It is not compatible with devices using the Connect+ or PartyBoost feature.  You can connect up to two BASSPRO GO speakers to each other using Connect, or you can connect a single BASSPRO GO to other JBL speakers that have the same Connect feature, like the Xtreme, Charge 3, Flip 3, and Pulse 2.
 

The BASSPRO GO receives is power ONLY from the harness that is connected to the car battery.  When connected to the harness, the car battery will charge the internal battery so that it is ready to be used as a portable the next time you need it.

When removed from the harness, the full-range portable speaker runs on the internal battery.  It cannot be charged via either of the USB (A or C) jacks.  It will be charged the next time it is connected to the harness in the vehicle.
 

A dedicated bass boost button located on the RIGHT ear cup on the CLUB 950NC & 700BT increases low-end frequencies of 5-6 dB adding a kick to your favorite tracks.

The Mute+ATMOS combination button press to determine the Battery Status was originally designed for production line testing, not for consumer usage.  We determined that this testing method was inaccurate and began testing using specialized external equipment.  As of Software Version V21.13.11.80, the ability to check Battery Status inaccurately has been removed.

When charging the satellite speakers you can be confident that the Battery Status is 100% when the LED indicator goes  out.  As well, when the LED begins blinking red, you are at 20% and should recharge or plug in your speakers.

Instructions for software upgrade
 

1. Download the latest software version from JBL.com and bin file: Unify.BIN
2. Prepare one empty USB Stick and create a new folder (named “UPG”) in the root directory, then copy the bin file to the new UPG folder.
3. Please mount the two detachable speakers onto the main Soundbar and subwoofer upgrade port to AUX input, then power on the Soundbar.
4. Please insert the USB Stick into the Soundbar USB port on its rear panel and long-press: [POWER] and [VOL- ] on the Soundbar for 10 seconds to start the software upgrade. Wait for the software upgrade to complete. The Soundbar will go back to standby mode.
5. To Check Software version: 

• Press and hold the DIM DISPLAY button on the remote control for 5 seconds in any source, followed by the short press of the SOUND MODE and then the short press of the NIGHT MODE button.
• To check the subwoofer software version, please connect the subwoofer to Soundbar via a 3.5mm AUX-in cable and follow the above procedure

The Elite headphones are equipped with an auto off capability to preserve battery life when not in use. The headphones will automatically turn off after 10 minutes of inactivity: meaning no audio or voice. In situations where the user would like to enjoy the benefits of the ANC technology only - when not listening to music or talking on the phone , we advise to turn off the Auto Off feature in the app to keep the headphone running continuously.

The Aura Studio has been put into demo mode, here is how to detect and disable this feature. How to detect "demo mode" on the Aura Studio: 1. When plugged in, the Aura Studio will stay powered on at all times (it will not go into standby mode). 2. All buttons on the speaker will not work. 3. Bluetooth mode is disabled, wireless connection will not work. 4. Only the aux cable input can be used to play music; volume is automatically set to maximum and cannot be adjusted (all buttons are disabled). How to disable "demo mode" on the Aura Studio: 1. Make sure the speaker is powered ON. 2. Press and hold the Vol - and Bluetooth button for at least 5 seconds 3. The speaker will power OFF, demo mode is disable. 4. Now when the speaker is powered ON, you will have full access to all buttons and features. Caution: The button combination that disables "demo mode" (Vol - and Bluetooth), will also enable it.

Check to see if it happens with all source devices (TV, BluRay, DVD, etc.). If it only happens with one device and not the other, the issue may be with that device. Make sure you do not have any HDMI adapters or splitters. These can cause issues with video and audio.

If you are having trouble with distortion or drop outs, try the following suggestions:

Move the audio source closer to the speakers

Move the speakers closer to each other

Make sure the streaming speaker (host) only connects to one audio source, disconnect the Bluetooth connection between the streaming speaker (host) and other audio source

Make sure the audio source only connects with one streaming speaker (host), disconnect the Bluetooth connection between the audio source and other speakers

Restart both your speakers and the audio source

Make sure speakers are away from other sources of wireless signal – you could be experiencing interference

Re-pair the audio source with your speaker

If you’re streaming audio content from the internet, the issue could be with the internet connection and not your speaker

Yes, this is correct. The AVR171, 171S, 1710 & 1710S only supports OSD on on the HDMI 1 output. HDMI 2 doesn't not show the OSD. The AVR370 and 3700 supports OSD on both HDMI outputs.

Yes, this is correct. The AVR 1x1S does not support OSD on HDMI 2 out, only on HDMI 1. If customers want OSD on two HDMI outputs, they can buy the AVR 370.

Yes, the foam pads are detachable. They are fixed with a flexible lip that sits in a groove all the way round, and are easy to replace.

UA Train features an IPX4 rating which offers protection from a splash of water in any direction for at least 5 minutes. They cannot be fully submerged in water.

If the Harman Kardon Go + Play is not stable or wobbles on a surface, one of the legs on the bottom of the speaker is adjustable with a Philips screwdriver. The adjustable leg is the one with a screw is in the center of the leg. 

While the Partybox Encore does not have a Microphone Input, it does have an internal receiver for the wireless microphone that comes with the product.

 

It is possible to pair one of the microphones from the Partybox Wireless Mic * (sold separately from the Partybox Encore, containing 2 x Wireless Microphones and 1 x Receiver/Dongle for connection with 6.3 mm microphone jack inputs) - however, a maximum of 2 wireless microphones can be connected to the receiver at a time.

 

As an alternative, a spare part accessory is available (dependent on stock levels), which includes just 1 x Microphone for Partybox Encore - search for the aforementioned product name or "FG7261JMJ100114" in our online store.

 

To connect an additional Wireless Microphone to the Partybox Encore, follow these steps:

Switch off the Partybox & both microphones.

Once off, switch on both microphones only, then switch on the Partybox and both microphones should connect to the receiver.

If not, please try the same instructions as above expect with a Factory Reset (Press and hold the "Play" and "Light" buttons for > 10 seconds) instead of the restart above, then follow the microphone pairing procedure:

1. Turn off the speaker.

2. Make sure that the distance between the new wireless microphone and speaker is within 1 meter. Turn on the microphone.

3. Turn on the speaker. The microphone will pair and connect with the speaker automatically within 3 minutes.

 

*Please note that regarding the older version of the JBL Partybox Wireless Mic - the JBL Wireless Microphone Set - the microphones are not compatible with the Partybox Encore whatsoever, as they use UHF instead of 2.4 GHz for communication between the microphones and receiver (and the Partybox Encore does not have a Microphone Input).

The ear pads on the three second-generation Everest headphones are fixed to a plastic plate, held in place on the ear pods with small claws. It is not very easy to remove it, and sometimes one or more of the claws may break off. This means that it is usually best to have a service technician do the replacement, but if you have new pads at hand, and is handy with tools, you may do it yourself.

No. The Everest 150NC do not feature an IPX rating and are not designed to be overexposed to moisture. Overexposure can compromise the controls and sound.

Yes, the cords on the new N40 are detachable. You can remove the cords from the top of the stainless steel earbud housing. Please make sure that you attach the left cord to the left ear plug and the right cord to the right earbud. You can easily adjust the volume to your choosing while setting your alarm on the Horizon 2. When setting your alarm, choose the Alarm Bell 1 or the Alarm Bell 2 on the top of the speaker. As you go through your settings when choosing an alarm time, it will give you the option to adjust the volume setting you wish to have on the alarm. Just simply adjust the volume by turning the volume knob on the top of the speaker. After you choose the volume, press the volume knob once to move to the next settings option. 
Please note: the alarm volume will gradually increase until you choose to either snooze or turn the alarm off completely. 

You must first set a radio preset by tuning to a radio station and holding down the 1, 2, or 3 button to save it. After this, the preset will be an option when setting up a new alarm.

When setting up the alarm, the options will be displayed in the following order:

2. Set Alarm Minute.
3. Set Recurrence - Weekday/Once.
4. Set Ringtone - 4 built-in alarm tones or radio preset 1/2/3 (see information above).
5. Set Light - On/Off.

If the light is set to 'On' when the alarm is set up, once it goes off it will gradually increase in brightness over 10 seconds.

On backup battery power, please wait 50 seconds for the alarm to turn off automatically.

In order to skip the tracks on the Y500 headphones, slide and hold Volume Up (to skip forward) or Volume Down (to skip backwards) for 3 seconds. These buttons are located on the LEFT ear cup.

In order to power on and pair the Y500, make sure that the device you are attempting to connect to has the BT on and is in search mode. Move the ON/OFF button from its OFF position to its ON position, which is the middle of the cutout located on the RIGHT ear cup. It will remain there, and the headphones are now ON. The blue LED will start blinking, indicating that Bluetooth pairing is possible. If you need to reset the BT pairing, move the ON/OFF button against the spring load button to the opposite position of the OFF position, and keep it there for 4- 5 seconds. Now the BT system is reset, and new pairing is possible. Please Note: The Y500 features Multi-point Connectivity which allows you to switch from two different devices.

The Y500 features the speed charge (5 min charging time = 1 Hour Playtime) In order to charge the headphones, use the micro USB charger that is included in the packaging. The charging port is located at the bottom of the RIGHT ear cup. Once the headphones are charging, you will see a solid red light next to the port. Once the headphones are fully charged, the red light indicator will turn off. Please Note: You cannot use the headphones via BT while they are charging. However, you can use the headphones via audio cable while charging.

The Y500 headphones do not support Apt-X audio codec. However, they do support AAC audio codec.

Press and hold Volume Up or Volume Down located on the LEFT ear cup for 3 seconds to skip forward or backward.

Move the ON/OFF button from its OFF position to its ON position, which is the middle of the cutout. It will remain there, and the headphones are now ON. You can activate the Ambient Aware and TalkThru functions and assign one of them to the smart-button. AA will open the external microphones and mute the music so you can hear what is going on around you. TalkThru permits you to have a conversation with other people in the room, just by pressing the button.

You cannot disengage ANC, it is always on when the headphones are on. However, you can listen to music via cable if you do not switch the N700 on at all, which means that ANC will not be active.
