The sound feedback is the tone you hear when you send a command to the soundbar. This confirmation tone can be switched off, if you do not want it to be heard.

The Wi-Fi indicator shows the signal strength between your speaker and Wi-Fi router. 3 bars = perfect signal 2 bars = good signal 1 bar = low/poor signal (which might cause dropouts or other issues)

If the headphones and source device do not pair:
1. Make sure the headphones are NOT connected to the charger. Cycle power switch OFF and ON.
2. Turn Bluetooth® OFF, then ON again on the source device.
3. Turn OFF Bluetooth® feature on any other device that is paired with the headphones.
4. Press and Hold the ON/OFF button for >5 seconds until white status light pulses.
5. Make sure “No 5909" is selected in the Bluetooth® source device list.
 

All products must be on Wi-Fi 5GHz network, and you need two additional OMNI+ speakers of the same model (2 x OMNI 20+ for example) to create 5.1 wireless surround sound.

The battery LED's show how much the battery is charged on your LINK 10 or LINK 20 speaker.

(+) Button A short press will increase the volume. A long press will skip to the next track. (-) Button A short press will decrease the volume. A long press will skip back a track. Middle (Multifunction Button) A short press will play/pause music or answer/end calls. A long press on the middle button will turn the device on/off.

Here is a list of what the LED lights mean. Light OFF: Power OFF, no charger connected, OR charger connected, fully charged. RED light ON: Power OFF, charger connected and charging. BLUE light flashing: Power ON, no Bluetooth connected. Constant BLUE light: Power ON, connected to Bluetooth device. RED/BLUE light flashing: Power ON, in pairing mode. RED light flashing: Power ON, low battery.

All of the surround mode functions in our devices work in different ways, and some might be useful in certain situations. Here is a list of each mode, explained with more details. HVS surround mode: Is the abbreviation for HARMAN Virtual Surround. It will process the signal to simulate a surround effect from a stereo source. DSP Bypass: Surround Off (DSP or Analog Bypass) = 2 CH STEREO. When this mode is selected, the BDS will pass the analog source material directly through to the front left and right speakers, bypassing the digital processing circuitry. Stereo mode: Turns off all surround processing and plays a pure two-channel signal or a downmix of a multichannel signal. The signal is digitized and bass management settings are applied, making it appropriate when a subwoofer is used. Pulse-code modulation (PCM): This method is used to digitally represent sampled analog signals, and two channels (stereo) is the most common format. PCM Stereo is what standard Audio CDs always use. Dynamic Range Control: This setting makes the loud and quiet parts of a movie or music sound closer to the same volume (a process known as compression). Compression lets you turn up the volume so you can hear the quiet parts without the loud parts disturbing other people. NOTE: This feature works only with Dolby Digital programs that have been specially encoded. Three settings are available: •• Off: Never applies compression. Use this setting when the volume may be as loud as you desire. •• On: Always applies compression. Use this setting when you want the volume to be as quiet as possible without making it difficult to hear spoken dialogue. •• Auto: Applies compression based on information encoded within the Dolby Digital bit-stream. The receiver will selectively apply compression only during the most dynamic parts of the soundtrack.

You can adjust equalizer, RGB LED effects, calibrate Quantum ONE headtracking, change microphone settings and update the headset's firmware.

The JBL Headphones app provide the following functions:

FOD (foreign object detection) is a security guarantee that must be included in Qi certification.
This means our Infinity Lab Qi-certified power bank can detect if a foreign object, such as metal, is on its surface.  
If that happens, the wireless charger either stops charging or does not start charging at all.

ONYX and AURA supports PCM, WMA, AAC, FLAC and MP3 via DLNA.

The optical input supports these formats: 2-ch PCM with 44.1k or 48k support, and Dolby Digital (1.0 to 5.1 channels).

The soundbar will auto switch the source between HDMI eARC and optical. HDMI eARC is higher priority than optical source. It is not possible to manually switch from HDMI to optical.

All speakers are set to react when you use the keywords to interact with Google. To eliminate multiple speakers talking at the same time, using the "Microphone Mute" button will stop the speaker from reacting to the keywords.

You can access your Assistant history if you go to My Activity (myactivity.google.com) or the My Activity link in the Google Home app to view what you have asked and delete it if you want.

All AVR models up to and including 151S, 161S and 171S feature HDCP version 1.4. (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection). This is also true for BDS 280, 580, 280S and 580S. It is not possible to update to version 2.2 with any software/firmware update, as this requires a hardware change. Future models may feature version 2.2, made for UHD/4k content.

The Harman Kardon SB20 supports HDMI 1.4 with ARC to the TV.

Our AVR151S features HDMI 1.4a with 3D ready. AVR 161S and AVR 171S feature HDMI 2.0 with 3D ready. HDR is not supported.

No worries! You have two options—you can either plug the headset in with the included 3.5mm plug OR simply turn JBL QuantumSURROUND off within the JBL QuantumENGINE.

If the USB port gets too wet, the case will stop charging to avoid the temperature becoming too high.

If the USB port on the case detects liquid, you can see a white flash from the LED lighting bar.

"Sports Mode" enhances your work-out experience by adapting the ambient sound level and the EQ settings. This feature can be turned on in the JBL Headphones app. "Sports Mode" include outdoor walking, hiking, outdoor running, elliptical, indoor running and functional training.

When "Sports Mode" is turned on, the Ambient Sound Control and the assigned gestures will be temporarily disabled. Both Ambient Sound Control and the assigned gestures will be turned on again once "Sports Mode" is turned off.

We use the microphones on the outside of the earcup to pick up the outside ambient noise and play through the headphone. With the unique JBL solution, the user can adjust the level of the ambient noise up or down, and the balance from left to right, so that they are in full control of how loud the ambient sound is in each earcup.

Voice assistants from Google and Amazon utilize artificial intelligence to quickly answer questions, communicate hands-free and provide notifications among many other helpful benefits. 

JBL Connect+ can wirelessly link more than 100 JBL Connect+ enabled speakers together to amplify the party

The JBL Connect technology links two JBL Connect enabled speakers wirelessly to each other, so the play the same music. This is done by pressing the Connect button on both devices.

HDCP stands for High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection. In short term, this is used to protect 4K material from illegal pirating. Every device in your chain system, must support HDCP 2.2, meaning if your 4K Blue-Ray player has HDCP 2.2, then your Soundbar must support it (SB450 does) and TV as well, or else you won't see any 4K material. In case your TV do not support HDCP 2.2, then it will downscale to 1080P content, this is done by the Blue-Ray player.

JBL Pro Sound is achieved through robust 40mm Mica Dome drivers, which are precisely tuned to deliver deep bass, balanced mids and crystal-clear highs. Each Mica Dome deliver refined high frequencies above 40kHz for the best on-the-go listening experience. Mica is a renewable mineral that can be split into extremely thin elastic plates, making it flexible enough to respond fast and precisely to the electrical signals in headphone drivers.

JBL Safe Sound is an added parental control toy can use in the JBL Headphones app. You can set the max volume and for how long kids can listen for. With "time-up" reminders, parents can even record their own voice prompt notifications.

It's also possible to receive daily and weekly activity reports on volume and time exposure to help maintain safe listening habits.

A PIN Code protects the max volume limit and daily time limit from being modified.

The Low Volume Dynamic EQ feature can optimize EQ, boosts low and high frequencies to maintain the same high-fidelity performance at low volume. When you listen to music in low volume, the whole music dynamic will be decreased due to low and high frequency volume reduction. Some music is best to enjoy at a higher volume, but this approach can hurt your ears. With Low Volume Dynamic EQ, you can still receive an enjoyable music experience even in low or high volume, and still protect your ears without compromising on the listening experience.

PureVoice is a new patent-pending technology from Harman, that actively analyzes media content to make the dialogue in Movies and TV programs easier to hear.

"Relax Sound" is a feature in the JBL Headphones app, which let's you choose a peaceful sound, like gentle ocean waves or a crackling wood fire to listen to.

You can adjust a slider to select how long you want to listen to the relaxing sounds, and also select whether you want to listen to one or more of the sounds.

When you need to talk to someone in person while wearing headphones, the advanced built in voice recognition algorithms reacts to your voice and automatically pauses the music and enables TalkThru if you just speak. Music and ANC resume after the conversation is over. There is no need to pause the music manually or remove the headphones - start talking and let the technology do the rest. You can extend the duration of Smart Talk in the JBL Headphones app when no voice is detected.

If social mode is switched on, it is possible to connect up to three source devices. Either device can take over playing. It is the last source-device which presses play, which plays music.

Spatial sound gives a more natural, realistic and accurate immersive experience whether you are listening to music, movies or games.

The technology processes more details from any stereo content, which generates reflections and reverberation signals. The integrated head tracking means that sound stay fixed in space even when you turn your head, which adds a new layer of realism to your immersive listening.

This connection is intended for software and service updates only.

The Smart Tx draws power from the source when using it with a USB-C connection. The battery life of the Smart Tx is 18 hours when the product is connected with a 3.5mm aux connection or used without a connection to a power source.

We recommend inserting the ear tips (L for left, R for right located at the end of the ear tip extension) in the ear first and then proceed to wrap the ear loop around your ear. Please make sure to try all three sizes to insure the most comfortable fit.

The Bluetooth range varies. However, you should get up to 15 meters (just under 50 ft) when using the product indoors. If you are using the headphones outside, conditions vary based on surroundings and body mass. For the best connectivity results, please make sure that the device you are paired to is in the front of your body.

Bluetooth range is normally up to about 10 m. More than that the signal will get unstable.

A clip has been included to help ensure the best fit and security of the headphones. Placing the clip on the audio cord and attaching to the top back of your shirt you should be able to twist your head right and left without the clip pulling your ear.

The Smart button activates Ambient aware settings: Off, Low, High.

These two models have 40 mm speaker units.

AURA Studio is a Bluetooth speaker plus microphone built-in, where AURA has Wi-Fi built-in for AirPlay, DLNA and Spotify Connect solutions.

You'll have all the benefits from HDMI 2.0, but with 2.0a you will also have HDR (High Dynamic Range). Don't confuse HDR with cameras, this is used for TV's that support HDR content. In short, if a Blu-Ray supports HDR, it can enhanced dark scenes from a movie with this option.
