  • The top panel LEDs are flashing because the OTA firmware update is in progress, the product should work after the upgrade is completed. It may have been caused by a previous interruption to an update.

It should be possible to resolve the issue by doing the following:

    • Plug in the power cable and wait for at least 5 minutes for the Partybox Ultimate to complete the update.
    • If the Partybox Ultimate stops flashing, but cannot power on, then perform a factory reset by pressing the two buttons below for more than 10 seconds: Moment (heart symbol) and Play (or through the JBL One app). After this has been done, press the Power button.
  • As with all in-ear headphones, our range of TWS headphones can be susceptible to a build up of dust and earwax. This can cause low volume on one or both earbuds, or balance issues (e.g. right earbud is louder than the left earbud). To reduce the likelihood of these issues occurring, it is a good idea to periodically clean your earbuds and your ears. Clean the earbuds by removing dust and wax after each use, using a pointed toothpick to remove larger amounts and a small amount of rubbing alcohol applied to a cotton swab for final degreasing.

If you are experiencing volume or balance issues, always check for wax and dirt in and around the earbud and driver and complete cleaning of the earbuds as described above. If the issue persists, there may be earwax/dirt stuck in the small holes in the grille in front of the driver, preventing sound output. To resolve the issue try dipping the affected earbud tip into a solution of lukewarm tap water and a small amount of dish soap (washing up liquid). The earbud tip should only be put into the liquid up to a maximum depth of 1-2 mm only (see images below). Immersing the earbuds in water or putting the earbuds in water at a larger depth than this could void your warranty. Keep the earbud tip in the water for about 2-3 minutes, then wipe/clean the grille with a small brush (such as a toothbrush). The should remove the wax and resolve the volume/balance issues.

  • For OMNI BAR+, three sources are available: HDMI (not applicable for ADAPT+), Optical or AUX input. For Adapt+ two sources are available: Optical in/outputs and Analog in/outputs. If you select "Watching movies and TV shows" in the HK controller app for either one of them, you will have a very little delay and good lip sync with the TV for video applications. However, you will not be able to rebroadcast the TV signal to other OMNI+ speakers when selecting this mode. If you select "Listening to music", you will be able to rebroadcast TV signal to other OMNI+ speakers in your house, however, you will have lip sync delay with video material. Select that specific mode if you use HDMI (not applicable for ADAPT+), Optical or AUX for music only. Using Chromecast, Spotify Connect or Bluetooth is not part of these modes. When using one of these streaming methods, you are able to rebroadcast any music source.

  • The answer depends on the method used for connecting the Partybox Ultimate units:

Multi-Room Music (Airplay/Alexa/Google Home) - No effects or audio samples heard on secondary speaker(s).

Stereo Mode (JBL One app) - Both effects and audio samples heard on secondary speaker.

Multi-Speaker Connection (pressing the relevant buttons on the top panels) - No effects heard, but audio samples heard on secondary speaker(s).

Daisy Chain (wired Aux connection) - Both effects and audio samples heard on secondary speaker(s).

  • Some head units in the vehicles use isolated grand, if JBL DRG use isolated grand as well, this will disable the chips inside DRG. Please connect your smartphone with JBL DRG and disable the “Aux Noise Cancel” button in the Apps right after Aux Line option in Connection Mode section.
  • Some vehicles don’t provide an isolated ground for the head unit which may introduce noise. Please connect your smartphone to JBL DRG and enable the “Aux Noise Cancel” button in the App. This can be found right after Aux Line option in Connection Mode section.
  • Yes it will.
  • To set up the Harman Kardon Adapt in the HK Controller app, you have to select "One speaker", not the Adapt+ option. When selecting "One speaker", simply follow the on-screen instructions to install your Adapt on the Wi-Fi network. Note that the instructions for Adapt devices will appear on your screen after 30-45 seconds (Only Apple devices).
  • The rechargeable AAA cells may of course be worn out, or they may not be installed at all. If this is the case, either insert the cells, or you can order new cells as original spare parts. Please contact Harman Helpdesk for your country, or the distributor for your country, for further info about how to buy new cells. Please note that the cells MUST be compatible with charging contact for the minus pole located on the side of the cell. Normal cells will not work. This is clearly mentioned in the owner's manual, and shown with a drawing. If you have purchased new cells with plastic coating along the length of the cell, it may be possible to peel off the coating by cutting gently with a knife, then peeling it off. Only about 1 cm needs to be open to the metal, closest to the flat end, for contact to be possible. Please note that the ear pads on K 912 are removed by simply grabbing the plastic plate that holds the ear pad, and pulling it away from the ear pod. There is one battery in each ear pod. For K 915, never just pull the pad away, since the locking claws are released by being rotated away from their locked position.. Both batteries are under the right-hand pad, and there is a silk-screened instruction on the top of the pod, showing that you must rotate the pad plate just a few mm counter-clockwise to unlock it.
  • • Please check whether your head unit Bluetooth support EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) • If the head unit does not support EDR this will cause the transfer data rate to be low and will impact the audio quality.
  • JBL QuantumSPHERE 360 is JBL QuantumSURROUND that’s kicked up a notch by using a head-tracking sensor to fix sounds in 360 degrees of space around you. With typical headphones, when you move your head, the soundscape follows your movement. But with JBL QuantumSPHERE 360, if you rotate your head, the sound source’s perceived location stays in place because the head-tracking sensor compensates for your head movement. For example, if there’s a sound coming from in front of you, and you turn your head to the left, the sound source’s perceived location moves to your right ear—the sound stays locked in space as you move your head.

Also, the human brain uses small head movements to distinguish if sound sources are behind or in front of us. The brain processes the differences between when a sound arrives at the left vs. the right ear to determine where the sound is located. So with JBL QuantumSPHERE 360, you can move your head naturally to pinpoint the exact source of sounds around you.
  • LE Audio is the next generation of Bluetooth Audio, making audio streaming over Bluetooth Low Energy possible. It enables new use cases and significantly reduces power consumption compared to Classic (BR/EDR) Audio. LE Audio allows for independently synchronized audio streams to each earbud as well as seamlessly broadcasting audio streams to multiple listeners, with low power consumption. At the heart of LE Audio updates is the new Low Complexity communication codec (LC3). LC3 is a flexible, high performance, low power audio codec that can deliver high quality audio even at lower bit rates. LC3+, as the high-res upgrade, is expected to be supported more widely than any of the other high-res codecs. The JBL Tour 2nd generation is developed to support LC3 & LC3+ and equipped with technology and speaker drivers to support high resolution audio via Bluetooth.

  • Getting started with the checklist

    • A JBL LINK device(s).
    • Latest version of the Google Home appGoogle Home app installed on your mobile device.
    • Latest version of the Google app  (Android only) installed on your mobile device.
    • A Google Account (you can create one online via Google).
    • A mobile device with either iOS or Android support.
      • Must have iOS 10 or higher
      • Must have Android 5.0 and higher
      • There is no support for PC set up.
    • An internet connection from your local ISP (Internet Service Provider).
    • Your Wireless Network must secured with WPA2 Encryption (Enterprise mode NOT supported).
    • Availability and performance of certain features, services and applications are device- and network-dependent and may not be available in all areas; subscription(s) may be required, and additional terms, conditions and/or charges may apply.

    Wi-Fi requirement

    • Wi-Fi routers must have Encryption enabled to install JBL LINK speakers (WPA2 etc).
    • Wi-Fi Extenders need to feature support of Multicast forwarding and UPnP.
    • Always use 5 GHz Wi-Fi for best performance and less interference.
    • For routers that have 2.4G Wi-Fi support only, make sure that they are using channels 1, 6 or 11 only.
You can now install your JBL LINK speaker to your Wireless Network and you can find our setup article that shows how to install your LINK product.

  • The connector between headphones and cable is Mini-XLR with lock mechanism. The connector that goes into sources is a combination plug, 3.5mm jack with 6.3mm adapter.
  • The first thing you’ll notice is that sound no longer feels like it’s “inside your head.” Suddenly it seems like the game audio is coming from high-quality loudspeakers—or the virtual game world—all around you.

It’s a different experience than you get with other headphones, and may take a little while to adjust to. For example, sounds coming from sources in the distance will seem farther away, as they would in real life. Even though you might be used to those sounds feeling closer with other headphones, JBL QuantumSURROUND provides hyper-accurate spatialization that can give you a competitive edge.

So spend some time dialing in the EQ to your liking, and see how real-world hearing helps you pinpoint enemies and bring the game to life.

  • Different games have different settings, but as a general rule, make sure that your game outputs multi-channel unprocessed audio. We recommend 7.1 surround, but 5.1 works too. Always disable any other processing (like DTS and Dolby).
  • To have the best possible performance for OMNI+ system we advise to have a dual-band router with a powerful chipset and ram for best Wi-Fi performance. This will not only help our products to perform better and more stable, but your other devices at home will have more power and fewer interruptions. Please also be sure that your home Wi-Fi router has Multicast enabled, as our Omni+ system requires this feature enabled in order to work (same goes for Chromecast devices). Always connect our Omni+ system to 5 GHz Wi-Fi whenever possible to limit the risk of devices being slow or interrupted on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

  • The difference is the BTA unit, which is a Bluetooth transmitter. The Soundgear BTA comes with the BTA unit in the box. The Soundgear does not. The BTA can be connected (with a signal cable) to a TV set, a CD player, or any other stereo line-level source, and can then stream this signal to the Soundgear wirelessly, via Bluetooth. TV sound or game sound are possible, since the BTA and the Soundgear use aptX Low Latency, which reduces the audio delay to levels, where picture and sound will be closely synchronized. This is also the secret behind the option to connect two Soundgears to one BTA unit, for two people to share a TV transmission, or a video game. Actually, you can use the BTA to stream to most other Bluetooth headphones and loudspeakers, but only if these devices also support aptX LL will the delay be low enough for video use.
  • The JBL QuantumSURROUND algorithm is specifically designed from the ground up to work with JBL Quantum gaming headsets—the software perfectly complements the hardware for incredibly realistic immersion. JBL QuantumSURROUND provides a strong sense of externalization, meaning that sound feels like it’s coming from loudspeakers in a professional listening room—or from the game world around you. With other spatialized audio solutions, it still feels like the sound is coming from the headphones, or just outside of them.
  • These two models have 40 mm speaker units.
  • JBL Connect+ can wirelessly link more than 100 JBL Connect+ enabled speakers together to amplify the party
  • No worries! You have two options—you can either plug the headset in with the included 3.5mm plug OR simply turn JBL QuantumSURROUND off within the JBL QuantumENGINE.
  • All AVR models up to and including 151S, 161S and 171S feature HDCP version 1.4. (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection). This is also true for BDS 280, 580, 280S and 580S. It is not possible to update to version 2.2 with any software/firmware update, as this requires a hardware change. Future models may feature version 2.2, made for UHD/4k content.
  • All speakers are set to react when you use the keywords to interact with Google. To eliminate multiple speakers talking at the same time, using the "Microphone Mute" button will stop the speaker from reacting to the keywords.

When charging, the blinking LED shows how far charging has progressed. When fully charged, the LED lights will turn off. JBL Connect button flashes white in connection mode. When connected: constant light.
  • All products must be on Wi-Fi 5GHz network, and you need two additional OMNI+ speakers of the same model (2 x OMNI 20+ for example) to create 5.1 wireless surround sound.
  • The calibration sound setup process ensures the soundbar delivers the best 3D surround effects for any interior and room layout.

  • Sometimes, when the soundbar is connected to a digital TV, the audio may not synchronize with the video. If the video is behind the audio, adjust the audio delay time to match the video.

You can set the audio delay time between 0 msec and 250 msec.

Note: The audio delay time you specify may not be exact, depending on the played content.

The audio sync function will not resolve instances where the video is ahead of the audio.

  • You can adjust equalizer, RGB LED effects, change microphone settings and update the headset's firmware.
  • It is possible to rename the Bluetooth name of the primary connected device and set the Party or Stereo mode. If a firmware upgrade is available for any Connect, Connect+, or Partyboost compatible speaker, this can be installed through the JBL Portable app. Only identical products can be set to stereo mode. Please note that, even though you can pair a Boost TV with JBL Connect, you cannot control this from the JBL Connect App
