  • Keeping your Laptop connected to the InfinityLAB charger
    Yes, you can leave laptop connected to the charger even after it’s fully changed. The charger will charge your laptop again if needed. 
  • Keeping your charger connected all the time
    It is fine to leave the InfinityLAB charger plugged in the wall outlet when you are not using it. However even without charging your device, the charger will consume a little bit of power when connected to an active power source.

    To save energy, suggest unplugging it from the wall outlet if you won’t use the charger for a long time.
  • Keeping fully charged devices connected to our power banks
    When your phone/device is fully charged, the InfinityLab power bank will stop output (charging).
  • JBL Xtreme: iOS 14+ Compatibility
    The JBL Xtreme will not be supported by the JBL Portable app while using Apple devices with iOS 14 or later versions due to incompatibility. 
    You can continue to use the speaker through Bluetooth or Aux connection and manual pairing, but cannot stereo pair with another Xtreme through the JBL Portable App.  
    There is no plan to release a new Firmware currently as the JBL Xtreme has been discontinued.

    If you still wish to use JBL Xtreme with the JBL Portable app, please connect it with Apple devices with iOS 13 or below, or connect it with Android devices.
  • JBL Trip is too heavy it pulls my visor down
    The JBL Trip visor mount is bi-directional. Mount the clip to the other side of visor as shown in the “quick start guide” section 8. This will help displace the weight differently and your issue should be solved.
  • JBL Quantum ONE and Quantum TWS: How do I clean my headset?
    You can clean it by wiping it gently with a damp cloth. Take extra care not to let water leak into the speaker chamber, as it will damage the speaker drivers.

  • JBL Portable App: PC Information
    You cannot download the JBL Portable App on a PC. This app is only available on mobile devices.
  • JBL Headphones App: Personal Sound Amplification (PSAP)

    PSAP (Personal Sound Amplification) is a new feature accessible within the JBL Headphones App. When this feature is turned on, it works similar to Ambient Aware, but it focuses on picking up vocal frequencies in front of you. 

     

    1. GAIN: The Personal Sound Amplification function is designed to amplify sound in the vocal range, it can assist users with (limited) hearing loss to maintain conversations more easily, especially in noisy environments. It should then amplify the speech of the person sitting across from you, not the general ambient sound as with Ambient Aware. The algorithm uses beamforming to pick out the voice from the other sounds, much like what happens during a phone call, but instead of focusing on your own voice it focuses on the voice further away from you. The gain setting allows you to amplify those vocal frequencies.

     

    2. BALANCE: The balance setting adjusts the amplification effect between your left and right ears using the slider. When set to 0 (in the middle), both ears will receive the same amplification, but depending on the user’s personal needs/preferences, they can focus the amplification more towards either the left or right ear.

  • JBL Free: Volume Control
    The JBL Free X does not feature volume control. In order to adjust the volume, you must manually increase/decrease from your device.
  • JBL Free: Sweat Proof
    The JBL Free has an IPX5 rating that helps protect the headphones from sweat and moisture.
  • JBL Free: Power On Information
    Remove the Right ear piece from the case. (It should automatically enter into pairing mode and will alternate between blue and white LED) Make sure the unit you are trying to connect to is in pairing mode. It should recognize the JBL Free within 3-8 seconds. Choose "JBL Free" to connect.
  • JBL Free: Pairing Information
    Remove ear pieces from the case. Both ear pieces should automatically connect to each other. Wireless connections are automatically established when the headphones are taken out of the case. To pair to a different device, press and hold the Right ear piece for 5 seconds as it alternates between blue and white LED lights. Make sure that the device you are attempting to connect to is in pairing mode. The JBL Free should display on discoverable devices within 3-8 seconds. Choose JBL Free and the headphones will connect after you hear the audio confirmation tone.
  • JBL Free: Manual Re-pairing to Bluetooth Devices
    In the event that ear pieces do not re-pair automatically to paired Bluetooth device, power off ear pieces individually by press and hold the buttons for 5 seconds. To enter Bluetooth pairing mode when ear pieces are powered off, press and hold on buttons of both earpieces for 8 seconds. Re-pair the right ear piece with desired Bluetooth device when LED indicator on right ear piece alternates between blue and white LED lights.
  • JBL Free: Manual Re-pairing Left & Right Ear Pieces
    In the event that left and right ear piece pairing is lost, power on both ear pieces and press the buttons 3 times on each ear piece to initiate re-pair.
  • JBL Free: Handsfree calls
    The JBL Free automatically switches from stereo to mono when making or taking phone calls. Voice calls will only come through the right ear piece for a more natural call experience.
  • JBL Free: Charging Information
    When you place the two Free earphones in the charging case, you will see a white led ring light up on both of them. At the same time, some of the four dot-leds on the charging case will light up to indicate the battery level of the case battery. When the earphones are fully charged, the white led ring goes out on each of them. When both are fully charged, the charging case charging level leds go out too.
  • JBL DRG is too big to plug into OBD II port in my vehicle
    Please use an OBD II extension cable in this case. An extension cable is not included in the package but they are readily available for purchase on-line.
  • JBL DRG doesn’t generate engine sound in my car.
    Please check with your car manufacturer to ensure your car supports CAN or K-line. JBL DRG only works with CAN and K-line to get the engine data for engine sound simulation. If your car does support CAN or K-line, please launch the JBL DRG app and check the engine sound volume bar (the right column with button marked with “E”) in the “Sound Mode” section to make sure it is not turned off.

  • I want to listen to stereo music through all five loudspeakers of my BDS system, but I cannot see if it is possible.
    This function is not available on these BDS units. So-called five-channel stereo is a feature which is available in Harman Kardon AVR surround receivers, but it has not been included in the BDS platform.

    This headphone does not feature volume control. You must manually control volume from your device.
