Warranty Policy
LIMITED WARRANTY
WHO IS PROTECTED BY THE WARRANTY
This limited warranty (the “Limited Warranty”) protects only the original end-user (“you” or “your”), and is not transferable and is applicable only in the country (excluding EEA member states and the Russian Federation) in which you originally purchased your JBL / Harman Kardon Product (the “Product”). Any attempt to transfer this warranty shall immediately make this warranty void.
LIMITED WARRANTY
HARMAN International Industries, Incorporated (“Harman”) is the manufacturer and through its local subsidiary, warrants to you that the Product (including components provided in/with the Product) will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of ONE year from the date of retail purchase by you (the “Warranty Period”). During the Warranty Period, the Product (including components), will be repaired or replaced at HARMAN’s option, without charge for either parts or labor OR at HARMAN’s sole option, the price of the Product may be refunded, subject to depreciation based on your purchase price for the Product pro-rated over the remaining balance of the Warranty Period. Any warranty service or replacement of parts will not extend the Warranty Period.
The Limited Warranty does not cover defects which are a result of : (1) damage caused by accident, unreasonable, use or neglect (including the lack of reasonable and necessary maintenance); (2) damage during shipment (claims must be presented to the carrier); (3) damage to, or deterioration of, any accessory or decorative surface; (4) damage resulting from failure to follow instructions contained in your owner’s manual; (5) damage resulting from the performance of repairs by someone other than an authorized JBL/Harman Kardon Service Center; (6) deterioration of component parts, the nature of which is to become worn , torn or depleted with use, such as batteries and headphone ear cushions/pads. (7) Physical ,broken or liquid damage caused by negligence.
Furthermore, this Limited Warranty covers only actual defects within the Product itself, and does not cover the cost of installation or removal from a fixed installation, setup or adjustments, claims based on misrepresentation by the seller, performance variations resulting from installation-related circumstances such as source quality or AC power or Product modifications, any unit on which the serial number has been effaced, modified or removed, or units used for other than home use. This Limited Warranty is valid only for JBL / Harman Kardon Products purchased from an authorized dealer.
Except to the extent expressly prohibited in your jurisdiction by applicable law, all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and merchantability are hereby excluded and in no event shall HARMAN or any HARMAN subsidiary be liable for any indirect, direct, incidental, special or consequential loss or damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use of or inability to use the Product, even if HARMAN and/or a HARMAN subsidiary have been advised of the possibility of such damages. To any extent that HARMAN cannot lawfully disclaim implied warranties under this Limited Warranty, all such implied warranties are limited in duration to the duration of this warranty. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or exclusions or limitations on the duration of implied warranties or conditions, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by jurisdiction.
HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE
Contact the dealer who sold you this Product, or contact Harman International Corp. customer support using the contact information on the relevant country specific support website for your Product to request warranty service. To validate your right to this Limited Warranty, you must provide the original sales invoice or other proof of ownership and date of purchase. Do not return your Product without prior authorization from the corresponding dealer or HARMAN. Warranty repair of the HARMAN Product must be carried out by an authorized dealer or service center. Unauthorized warranty repair will void the warranty and is performed at your sole risk.
You are also welcome to consult the relevant country specific HARMAN support website (https://support.jbl.com/in/en/customer-service/) for your Product for helpful hints.
WHO PAYS FOR WHAT
This Limited Warranty covers all expenses for labour and materials required for the repair OR replacement of the Product that is found to be defective, and a reasonable return shipping charge within the country of repair. Please be sure to save the original shipping carton(s), because a charge will be made for additional cartons/packaging.
You will be charged for the cost of examining a unit that is not in need of repair (including resulting shipping costs), or for necessary repairs not covered by this Limited Warranty.

INDIA WARRANTY POLICY – CONSUMER AUDIO
Limited Warranty
1. This warranty policy is applicable only in India for Harman consumer audio Products purchased through authorised Harman dealers or distributors in India. Provided, the products are duly presented for warranty service within the Warranty Period and are not otherwise excluded from warranty coverage pursuant to this policy (“Covered Product”). Warranty is non-transferable and is extended only to the original end-use purchaser or the person receiving the Covered Product as a gift from the original purchaser (“Purchaser”), and shall not be extended to any other person or transferee.
2. Limited Warranty: Harman International Industries, Incorporated (“Harman”) is the manufacturer and through its subsidiary Harman International (India) Private Limited, warrants to you that the Product (including components provided in/with the Product) will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of ONE year from the date of purchase (“Warranty Period”). During the Warranty Period, the Covered Product (including components), will be repaired or replaced at Harman’s option, without charge for either parts or labor OR at Harman’s sole option, the price of the Covered Product may be refunded, subject to depreciation based on your purchase price for the Covered Product pro-rated over the remaining balance of the Warranty Period. Any warranty service or replacement of parts will not extend the Warranty Period. The Warranty Period commences from the date of original purchase of the Covered Product as set forth in the original invoice or bill of sale.
3. Harman does not provide International warranty on its products. If any product purchased outside India requires support, the Purchaser can directly contact authorised Harman service center. All costs of repair, service or replacement, and all shipping or transportation charges must be borne by the purchaser.
4. The limited warranty as mentioned in the warranty card provided to you along with the product and this warranty policy will only be applicable. No other representations, oral or in writing, is valid.
5. Any person presenting a warranty claim must present a copy of the invoice or bill of sale from an authorised Harman dealer, the Purchaser must also be prepared to present the original of such invoice or bill of sale if required. Subject to the terms and conditions of this warranty, Harman shall, repair or replace any defective parts of a Covered Product free of charge within a reasonable period of time; provided, however, that Harman shall have no liability for any delay in the processing, repair or delivery of any products presented for warranty service. Harman does not provide any refund for warranty claims, under any circumstances.
6. The Limited Warranty covers only actual defects within the Product itself, and does not cover the cost of installation or removal from a fixed installation, setup or adjustments, claims based on misrepresentation by the seller, performance variations resulting from installation-related circumstances such as source quality or AC power or Product modifications, any unit on which the serial number has been effaced, modified or removed, or units used for other than home use. Unless Harman specifically undertakes in writing, all the expenses incurred in installation or removal of the product from a fixed installation or shipping costs of products will be borne by the Purchaser.
7. For any warranty claims involving a Covered Product model that has become obsolete, discontinued or otherwise unavailable, Harman reserves the right to replace that Covered Product with an equivalent product model /upgraded model. The cost of such higher value product shall be lesser of purchase price / maximum retail price.
Warranty Services
1. Only authorised Harman service centers can perform warranty service or otherwise handle warranty claims. The list of authorised Harman service center is available in the annexure-1A enclosed.
2. For warranty service on any Covered Product, you must first log your complaints by calling toll free number or by emailing it to our Contact center. For the purpose of processing your warranty claim, we may ask you to provide the following information in writing:
• Your name and address
• Telephone, fax or e-mail
• Model name and serial number
• Name of your authorised Harman dealer from whom you purchased the Covered Product
• Description of the problem
• Your configuration (other connected devices, etc)
• Copy of invoice or bill of sale
• Any other information Harman that in our opinion is reasonably required
• Consent to send SMS/WhatsApp communication regarding the services of your product.
Upon verification of the above details, we may direct you to an authorised service center, or ask you in writing to ship or send your Covered Product for repair. DO NOT SHIP YOUR PRODUCT WITHOUT SPECIFIC WRITTEN INSTRUCTION FROM HARMAN. Along with the product, please provide a copy of the invoice or bill of sale from the authorised Harman dealer, otherwise your warrant claim will not be considered. Harman reserves the right to demand for the original invoice or bill of sale at any time. You will be billed for any repair work or inspection performed on any claim not covered by this warranty.
We recommend purchasers to securely pack the product in a box, preferably the original one that came with the product, using bubble wrap, foam or packing peanuts. Purchaser should return the faulty item complete with accessories. Neither the authorised service center nor Harman is liable for any damage or loss that may occur during shipping or transportation, regardless of whether or not Harman or any authorised service center arranges or pays for such shipping or transportation. Purchaser arranging for shipping must select a reputable shipping company and shipping method that allows tracking of shipments. It will be the responsibility of the Purchaser to ensure the product has reached authorised Harman service center and a receipt or written acknowledgement bearing service request number is issued to the purchaser.
3. The product will be delivered only against submission of original receipt or written acknowledgement provided by service center and on demand Purchaser must provide any government approved Identity proof. Service center has the right to refuse delivery if the receipt or written acknowledgement is lost or misplaced. To collect the product, Purchaser may have to execute an indemnity bond to the satisfaction of Service center to prove the lawful ownership of the product.
4. Any warranty service or replacement of parts will not extend the Warranty Period.
Warranty Exclusions
The Warranty here under does not cover the following:
1. Any warranty claim not supported by an original invoice or bill of sale from an authorised Harman dealer.
2. Damage caused by (i) any physical damage caused by accident, unreasonable use or abuse or neglect (including the lack of reasonable and necessary maintenance), (ii) breakage, (iii) mishandling, (iv) act of god, calamity, (v) non-observance of instructions of usage prescribed by Harman or otherwise stated in the applicable owner’s manual or user guide, (vi) any other event not attributable to a defect in material or workmanship applied to the Covered Product.
3. Cosmetic damage, tampering, damage to or deterioration of any accessory or decorative surface, as determined by Harman.
4. Damage or loss to or of the product while being shipped or transported to or from Harman or any authorised service center. Any such shipping related claims must be brought up with the carrier
5. Deterioration of component parts, the nature of which is to become worn or depleted with use, such as batteries, buttons, headphone ear pads/cushion, connectors etc.
6. External accessories or third party products that are used in or with the Covered Product.
7. Damage caused to the product due to improper installation, electrical current fluctuations, connecting the product to equipment not approved by Harman, conditions that do not conform to the operating conditions recommended by Harman, deficiency in the product performance due to signal reception, and/or interference /noise caused by improper grounding.
8. Accessories (Charging cable/power adaptor/earbuds) are not covered under standard warranty policy.
9. Warranty is invalid if the factory-applied serial number has been altered or removed from the product.
10. Any adaption, modification, customization or adjustments are made to the product.
11. Products that have been, or have attempted to have been, repaired by anyone other than Harman or an authorised Harman service center. Any such unauthorised repair will void the warranty and is performed at Purchaser’s sole risk. Any repair will be on chargeable basis.
Purchaser Responsibilities
1. Please read the Owner’s manual / user guide / quick start guide completely. The information provided in this manual covers installation, operation, safety precautions and routine maintenance wherever applicable.
2. Purchaser has to maintain the original invoice or bill of sale to avail warranty services, otherwise the product will be repaired as out of warranty and the service will be charged to the purchaser.
3. It is Purchaser’s responsibility to backup and any other software or data specific to the application or product. It is likely that the product shall be reset to factory defaults in the course of service or repair, and Harman, without prejudice to any other limitation of liability under this policy, will not be responsible for any damage to or loss of any programs, data, software or other information stored on any media or any part of the product serviced hereunder, or damage or loss arising from the product not being available for use before or during or after the period of service provided, or any indirect or consequential damages resulting therefrom.
Force Majeure
Harman or service center shall not be responsible for any delay on performance, on delivery of the products due to contingencies arising from any force majeure event beyond the control of Harman or the service center which makes it impossible or impractical for the service center to perform, supply, service or deliver the product to the purchaser.
Limitation of Liability
Except to the extent expressly prohibited by applicable law, all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and merchantability are hereby excluded and in no event shall Harman or Harman International (India) Private Limited be liable for any indirect, direct, incidental, special or consequential loss or damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use of or inability to use the Product. To any extent that Harman cannot lawfully disclaim implied warranties under this Limited Warranty, all such implied warranties shall be limited in duration to the duration of this warranty.
Governing Law and Arbitration
This warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India and the courts of Bengaluru, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Any dispute arising out of any claim for warranty or repair services shall be referred to a sole arbitrator appointed by Harman. Such arbitration proceedings shall be conducted in English, at Bengaluru, and as per the provisions of arbitration & conciliation Act 1996. The award by the sole arbitrator shall be final & binding upon the parties. Each party shall bear their respective expenses of arbitration.
Out of Warranty Services
For repair or service of out of warranty or non-covered products:
- All costs of repair, service or replacement, and all shipping or transportation charges and insurance will be borne by the Customer.
- Service Fees will be applicable for inspection or diagnosis of the Product, even if no actual repair is performed.
- After the initial diagnosis, an indicative cost estimate for the repair shall be provided for Customer’s approval. Service Center will repair the Product only after approval of estimate by the Customer.
- The indicative cost estimate given at the time of acceptance of the Product for repair are provisional and may vary at the time of repair. If the final repair charges are more than initial cost estimate, Customer will be intimated by phone or email for approval of revised estimating. In the event if the revised estimation is not approved by the Customer, Product will be returned without any repair in “as is” condition without any responsibility. In such cases, the Service Fee for inspection or diagnosis of the product will be collected from the Customer.
- Once Service Center starts repair service upon acceptance of Customer’s Service Job Sheet, Customer may not cancel or withdraw the Service Job Sheet.
- Harman reserves the right to replace any defective part with a new or refurbished part equivalent to new in performance and reliability. Service Center will retain the replaced part(s) that is exchanged during service as its Center.
- All repairs are subject to availability of spare part(s). Any part(s) which may need to be imported from overseas and transit time will be considered accordingly. The Service Center will put its best effort to resolve the complaint by procuring the required spare part(s) on priority. Service Center’s determination of the Customer’s service complaints and the resolution thereof shall be final and binding on the Customer.
- Harman reserves the right to decline repair or service if (i) the Product is more than 3 years old or (ii) the Product is damaged extensively or (iii) the condition of the Product has deteriorated such that reliable repair service cannot be guaranteed, or (iv) the Product is damaged from lightening, ingress of water, fire, accident or (v) if the product has been opened (repair service or modification) by any person other than Harman authorised Service Center or (vi) if parts are procured by Customer from any other source.
- Any Product beyond repairable condition (as solely determined by Service Center) shall be returned back to the Customer.
- If any Product failure recurs within 90 days of the repair or service, the labour charges shall be waived off.
- Harman provides sixty (60) days warranty on replacement part(s) installed by Service Centres. In case of failure of the replaced part (s) within Sixty (60) days warranty period, such part(s) shall be replaced, free of charge. However, should any failure be attributable to wrong usage or abuse, accident, ingress of liquid, external fire damage, natural disaster, improper ventilation, deterioration due to environmental conditions, excessive shock, normal wear and tear or any external cause not attributable to normal Product failure the cost to replace the part(s) and labour (Service Fee) will be chargeable subject to the Product being in repairable condition.
- Product should be collected within 15 days from the date of completion of service or rejection of cost estimate by the Customer. .
- Under no circumstances shall the Product be retained by the Service Center beyond a period of 90 days from the date of intimation of completion of repair service or non-approval of cost estimate by the Customer. Any Unclaimed articles beyond 90 days will be treated as abandoned property and shall be disposed off (without any further notification) in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Product shall be dispatched / handed over to purchaser after receipt of complete payment and upon production of the original Service Job Sheet. Return shipping charges (if any) shall also be borne by the Customer.
- All disputes are subjected to the jurisdiction of local courts where the Service Center is situated.
- Transportation charges for all Out warranty products will have to be borne by the customer.
Force Majeure
Harman or service center shall not be responsible for any delay on performance, on delivery of the products due to contingencies arising from any force majeure event beyond the control of Harman or the service center which makes it impossible or impractical for the service center to perform, supply, service or deliver the product to the purchaser.

Out of Warranty Standard Labor charges
Cost of part(s): The current price of replacement space part(s) plus applicable taxes.
Service Fees: Service Center shall impose service charges mentioned below plus applicable taxes for each inspection and repair.
