No, unless you have set up devices with both voice assistants, you cannot use Alexa to control devices you set up only in the Google Home app, or use Google Assistant to control devices you set up only in the Alexa app.

After setting up one or both voice assistants on your JBL Authentics speaker, you must make sure that you have connected your supported music service account to your Amazon and/or Google account in the Alexa and Google Home apps.
For Alexa, if you then set one of the music services as default in the Alexa app settings, you can play music from this service just by asking Alexa to play music.

After pressing the Play button, you must wait 3 seconds before you can press the Play button again when listening to videos over AirPlay.

If you cannot stream music with AirPlay, use the JBL One App;
(1) Go to Settings.
(2) Select 3rd Party Service.
(3) Select the Airplay tile.

JBL Authentics speakers have both Alexa and Google Assistant no them. This means you don’t need to choose one or the other - you can set up both if you prefer. Then, depending on which voice assistant you’re talking to, the speaker will respond accordingly. It’s like having 2 smart speakers in 1. You can even set a timer with Google Assistant and when it rings ask Alexa to stop it.

Now, with Google Assistant and Alexa available simultaneously on your JBL Authentics speakers, you can choose to use one or both voice services available. This means you can set up just Alexa, just Google Assistant, or both. If you choose to set up both services, they will be at the ready. You can use either of them whenever you want simply by saying either “Hey Google” or “Alexa”.
