  • Should I activate Spotify Connect in my AURA?
    No, connect your AURA to your home network (see QSG) once your AURA is connected and your device is on the same network. Simply open Spotify Premium, and a small speaker icon will be visible inside the app.
  • Should I get a headphone with or without NC function?
    This is a matter of personal preferences. Noise Cancellation will lower ambient noise, meaning that you will be able to hear your music clearly, almost without any disturbance from outside noise. Without NC, this is a normal headphone, where outside noise is not reduced. You can even use the N60 as a pure noise reduction headset, without music.
  • Should I use the analog AUX connection or Optical to connect to Boost TV?
    An optical connection will assure better audio performance and will accept Dolby Digital audio from an HDTV. However, there are times when TV apps may not transmit audio through the digital optical output on the TV. In cases such as these, it would be necessary to use the analog AUX connection.

  • SilentNow and My Alarm Feature
    The JBL TOUR range helps you create an ideal world where you can entirely focus on your tasks.
    With the JBL Tour One and Tour Pro+ TWS, you can get silent moments with SilentNow. Noise Cancelling is activated without Bluetooth, just by pressing a dedicated button on the headphones (or tapping the earbud) or controlling via the My JBL Headphones app. It also helps you save battery time.
    Or get help in waking up with My Alarm, which allows sleep and wake times to be set and is controlled ​via the My JBL Headphones app. You can set a sleep and wake timer to gradually lower the volume of the headphones for sleep, switch into SilentNow mode for a specific amount of time and then wake you up at a specified time.

  • SilentNow Information
    The SilentNow feature allows you to activate Noise Cancelling without using Bluetooth, i.e. simply turning on ANC without playing music. A useful feature if you just want to enjoy a quiet moment or would like to rest on a long-haul flight.

  • Smart Audio & Video mode feature
    By optimizing Bluetooth settings via the app, you can get optimized audio in different scenarios like either listening to music or watching videos.
    Select between “Normal” to optimize and stabilize the connection even in the busiest areas, “Music mode” to enjoy the best sound quality for music, and “Video mode” to get the best lip-syncing when watching or gaming.

  • SMART MODE: Lacking Dialogue/Too Much Surround
     
    When listening to multichannel content you may find that your dialogue isn’t coming in as clear, or your surround effects are louder than you’d like. Our sound bars have a feature called ‘Smart Mode’ that implement our unique JBL Surround Sound as well as other tailored EQ settings. While these are great for content that needs a helping hand, for some multi-channel content it can be overwhelming. If you find this to be the case with some content, you can disable ‘Smart Mode'.

    To toggle between smart mode and standard surround, on the remote control, press and hold MUTE for more than 3 seconds, then press Volume Up (+). "OFF SMART MODE" or "ON SMART MODE" will be displayed.
     
    NOTE: The sound bar defaults to smart mode every time the bar is turned on.
  • SmartThings app: "Enter code" pop-up on the "Register Your Device" screen when setting up Amazon Alexa

    Due to Amazon Alexa's registration security, when you try to set up Amazon Alexa in the SmartThings app, it will automatically generate a "Enter code" pop-up on the "Register Your Device" screen. You can ignore this and just press "Continue" to proceed. You do not need to enter a code.

  • SmartThings App: Airplay not working

    If you cannot stream music via AirPlay on your AirPlay compatible device, proceed with the following steps: 

    1. Open the SmartThings app
    2. Go to device's page in SmartThings app.
    3. Select "Third Party Services".
    4. Select "AirPlay".
    5. Select "Reset AirPlay".

     

  • Some remote functions do not work with my Android phone.
    Please note that this is a universal remote, which will work with most Android OS phones. However, if some functions do not work, we advise you to contact the phone manufacturer.
  • Sometimes, I am not able to connect JBL DRG with my smartphone.
    Please check that you have connected your android phone with JBL DRG before. Power off your Android phone and press the JBL DRG BT button to connect to another smartphone. If this is the case, please wait 3 minutes for JBL DRG to setup the Bluetooth connection with a new smartphone. This is because some android phones can’t send a “Disconnect” BT command to JBL DRG during power off, so JBL DRG need to wait until the Link is lost.
  • Sometimes, if I remove the USB stick while playing from it, the BDS freezes.
    Never remove a USB stick while the BDS is playing files from it. If the system freezes, switch the BDS unit OFF and then ON with the switch on the back panel to reset.
  • Sometimes my Chromecast enabled streaming app cannot see my Citation speaker. What should I do?
    "In certain network conditions, your speaker may not be visible from your streaming app. You can still use voice control to start & control playback. If you wish to use your phone app to control playback, please power cycle your Citation speaker and your phone."
  • Sometimes when I watch HD or 3D material, I can see white specks or "snow" on the screen. What can I do to avoid this?
    Try another HDMI cable, and make sure that it is a high-speed version. This solution usually solves the problem, which is caused by insufficient cable bandwith.
  • Sound Distortion After Immersing Speaker in Water
    If you experience any sound distortion after immersing your speaker in water, simply shake the speaker to get rid of any excess moisture and allow the speaker to completely dry. Once dry, the sound quality should return to normal.
  • Soundgear: how to reset
    Switch the Soundgear ON. (If this is not possible, reset cannot be performed.)
    Press and hold Volume + and Volume - simultaneously for longer than five seconds.
    Soundgear switches OFF, and is now reset to factory settings.

  • Speaker not found during the setup

    If your SmartThings compatible speaker is not found during the setup process, try the following steps:

    1. Ensure that your phone/tablet with the SmartThings app is less than 10m/33ft from the speaker during initial set-up.
    2. Make sure your speaker is plugged into power and the LED display lights up.
      1. If the LED display is not turning on, reset the product to its factory settings.
      2. Once reset, try setting the speaker up again.
    3. Power cycle your speaker. Restarting your speaker will often help resolve the issue with products not showing up during the setup. 
    4. Unplug the power cord.
    5. Wait for about 10 seconds.
    6. Reconnect the power cord and make sure that the speaker is powering up.
    7. Temporarily relocate your product by moving the speaker closer to your router.
      1. If your speaker is able to connect in this new location, the original location may be too far from the router to maintain a stable connection.
    8. Use a different mobile device.
    9. If the error persists, try using a different device that has the SmartThings app installed and is connected to your speaker.

    This product features an echo-cancelling speaker phone for calls and meetings. 
  • Stage Sound Information and Specs
    For the Club 950NC and 700BT, a dedicated button on the right ear-cup (*) for Bass Boost – gives the user the option to give an extra boost to their listening experience. Power surges from equipment (such as a panel/mixer) which would blow out a standard headphone could be experienced while playing at high power. Specially designed driver coil and magnet give a higher resistance to power surges. The maximum input power for CLUB 700BT is 1000 mW, for CLUB 950NC is 2000 mW and CLUB ONE is 3500 mW accordingly.
