  • The Control X is an outdoor speaker, can I place it where ever I want?
    The JBL Control X is built for outdoor and indoor purposes. If you are placing the JBL Control X outdoor, please be aware that it should not be exposed to directly to the elements (rain, snow, sunlight). We advise you to place the speaker under a roof so the connections on the back won't be exposed to outside sources. If you have placed it correctly under a roof, they can outlast all types of weather.
  • The cooling fan on the back panel rotates from the moment I switch the BDS on, and it keeps running after I put the unit into Standby.
    Be aware that the BDS X75 and X77 have two power modes. By pressing the power button briefly, the unit goes into sleep mode, and the fan keeps cooling the unit. Holding down the power button for a couple of seconds puts the BDS into standby, and the fan stops.
  • The differences between High ANC and Low ANC modes
    • HIGH is recommended for Airplanes, City Streets, or other noisy environments.
    • LOW is suited for lower noise or windy environments.
    • ADAPTIVE will automatically adjust the noise-canceling based on your immediate environment.
    • OFF provides passive noise isolation.
  • The digital connection to a computer does not work.
    Please note that the digital signal cable for N90Q, which also serves as the charging cable, has a special full-size USB plug that can be inserted the wrong way as well as the correct way into the computer. Always check that charging is actually taking place, by making sure that the charging control light comes on when the USB cable is connected. The amber charging control light is inside the calibration button.
  • The effect of the Awareness function seems small when listening to music. Is this correct?
    This may simply be a matter of how the headphone is used. The awareness effect is intended to give the user the ability to hear sounds around them through the microphones on the headset. The effect is apparent in use cases where there is no audio, or the audio is at a moderate level. As with any situation, if the sound level of music is loud, it will mask any sounds, including those delivered by our ambient aware technology
  • The Esquire 2 goes into automatic standby mode after some time without audio input. How long does this take?
    If there isn't any input for 10 minutes, the ESQUIRE 2 will go into sleepmode, and after 20 minutes more of no activity, it will power itself off.
  • The fan in my AVR never seems to come on. Can I test the fan to make certain that it works?
    Your model AVR is equipped with a cooling fan that only comes on when the unit's internal temperature rises above a predetermined limit. Thanks to the massive heat sinks used in the AVR series, this temperature is rarely reached. A typical situation where the fan will come on is when the AVR is operating at a very loud volume level with program material that has sounds in all seven channels. Since this is a rare occurrence, you may never notice the fan working. In any case, when the fan does come on, the volume will be loud enough that you might not notice it. Thus, you may own an AVR for many years and never hear the fan, or see it in operation. There is no way to test the fan, and none is needed.
  • The headphone is sweatproof. Is it also waterproof?
    This is a sweatproof headphone, but if you regularly sweat profusely, or use it in rainy weather, damage may result.
  • The headphone jacks on the No. 519, No. 523 & No. 526 have impedance adjustments of high and low impedance. What are the ohm values of those settings and what would be the performance advantage of using a low impedance setting with a high impedance headphone?
    The typical values are around 2 & 75 ohms. The default setting is low, we are purposefully not recommending one setting over the other. Headphone impedances can vary (typically in the range of 2 to 300 ohms) and some users may prefer listening with high impedance headphones at the low impedance setting, while others may prefer listening on low impedance headphones at the high impedance setting. Either setting will work with any headphone, so it’s really just a matter of personal listening preference and the user can experiment with the settings. There is no quantifiable performance advantage between the settings - it really just comes down to personal preference. Users can select the setting they like best depending on the type and quality of their headphones, program material, and their own auditory characteristics.
  • The JBL Micro Wireless is not completely mute when I turn the volume on a Bluetooth source unit to minimum.
    Even when reducing volume to minimum on the Bluetooth source unit, it does not reduce the audio signal to zero. In this case the Micro Wireless will playback music at a very low volume.
  • The LED Charging light information
    The LED light will be on when the InfinityLAB charger is being powered and it is ready to charge your devices.
    The LED light will be off when the power source is off.
  • The max power output for our chargers
    For 20W charger, the max. power output is 20W total.
    For 30W charger, the max. power output is 30W total.
    For 65W charger, the max. power output is 65W total.
    For 100W charger, the max. power output is 100W total.
    For 30W, 65W and 100W chargers, when charging more than one device simultaneously, total max. power output is 30W, 65W and 100W, respectively. You can also check detailed power output information from specification on product page.
