  • Hearing the difference between Stereo and Surround Sound
    Make sure your headset is configured correctly in your Windows settings. The setting should normally be JBL Quantum *Game* to experience QuantumSURROUND.

  • Hearing your own voice through the headphones (Sidetone feature)
    To stop hearing your own voice through your headphones, please start the JBL QuantumENGINE software, navigate to the "Microphone" tab, and change the sidetone setting to 0.
  • Horizon 2: How to Turn Off/Bluetooth Standby Time
    To turn off the Horizon 2, Press the 'DAB/FM' button until no radio is playing.
    This works in the order (from standby/off): DAB / FM / Off.

    In Bluetooth mode, if the phone or tablet is disconnected, or nothing is played for 10 minutes, the Horizon 2 will go into standby mode automatically (not changeable).
  • HORIZON 2 vs HORIZON 2 HOTEL

    These two products are identical. The only difference between them is...

     

    HORIZON 2: out-of-the-box is set to HOTEL OFF

     

    HORIZON 2 HOTEL: out-of-the-box is set to HOTEL ON

     

    On either unit, to toggle HOTEL mode ON or OFF, press and hold Alarm 1 and Preset 1. The LCD indicator will show the HOTEL status, ON or OFF.

     

    The unit will retain this setting, even when unplugged. The only way to change the mode is to press and hold the two buttons again. Or course, a Factory Reset will also restore to the original out-of-the-box setting.

     

    When HOTEL mode is ON, these are the following changes that occur.

     

    • Alarm can only be set for a single day.
    • Alarm will ONLY work as a buzzer.
    • A Room Number can be set.
    • A Max Alarm Volume can be set.
    • Bluetooth cannot auto-reconnect.
  • How can I check the software version on my Flip3, Flip4 or Xtreme??
    By pressing Volume - & JBL Connect button for 3 seconds. A voice will tell you the current software version.
  • How can I check the software version on my Xtreme?

    By pressing Volume - & JBL Connect button for 3 seconds. A voice will tell you the current software version of your Xtreme. The Xtreme must be ON.

  • How can I connect a stereo source?

    EON 208P:

    Two of the inputs are made for stereo use:
    CH 5/6 with volume control and ¼” phone plugs or RCA plugs, and
    CH 7/8 with volume control and ¼” phone plugs or 3.5 mm stereo input.

    Also, the Bluetooth wireless input is stereo.

    EON ONE:
     Two of the inputs are made for stereo use:
     CH 3/4 with volume control and ¼” phone plugs or RCA plugs, and
     CH 5/6 without volume control and 3.5 mm input jack

     Also, the Bluetooth wireless input is stereo.
  • How can I connect the USB Wireless dongle with my device?
    Place the USB wireless dongle in the USB-C connector of your device and place the earbuds in your ears. The earbuds will automatically connect to your USB wireless dongle. If the earbuds don't pair automatically you can manually pair them again by connecting the JBL Quantum TWS to a mobile device via Bluetooth and open the JBL Headphones app. Turn on the "Dongle Pairing" mode and then press the pairing button on the USB wireless dongle. (Note: USB wireless dongle needs to be connected to an activated device). You will get a message on your JBL Headphones app that the pairing is successful and then press "Understood".
  • How can I connect to it and play music?
    This product has bluetooth for wireless connections and an auxiliary audio input for wired connections.
  • How can I connect two JBL Connect compatible speakers together?
    Please press JBL Connect buttons on both speakers to connect.
  • How can I control the volume?
    This headphone does not have volume control. It features a one button in-line remote that enables you to pause/play, skip tracks and answer/hang up phone calls. The microphone that is built into the remote permits use as headset with a mobile phone.
  • How can I delete my voice interactions with Harman Kardon Allure?
    You can delete specific voice recordings associated with your account by going to History in Settings in the Alexa App, drilling down for a specific entry, and then tapping the delete button. Or, you can delete all voice recordings associated with your account for your Harman Kardon Allure speaker, by selecting the applicable product at the Manage Your Content and Devices page at www.amazon.com/mycd. and deleting voice recordings. However, this may degrade your Alexa experience.
  • How can I enable 10-bit color on the HDMI Inputs?
    To get the full potential of the HDMI content/source you have in your home, then you need to enable HDMI UHD deep color option on your TV for the HDMI output port (ARC).

    Since there are tons of different TVs and manufactures out there, the best way to see if your TV can use 10-bit color on HDMI, is to read the TV's manual or call their support section.
  • How can I enable Bluetooth on my BDSx35 device?
    Press the Bluetooth source button on your BDS remote. In the right top corner of your TV screen, there should be a button called "Pair". Jump to the "Pair button" to perform pairing by using the arrow keys on your remote control. Click OK while being on the pair button. Once pressed, a pop-up screen will appear, this indicates pairing mode is active for 3 minutes. Go to Bluetooth settings on your mobile device, find the BDS in the list and connect. If you want to pair a second device, please repeat the procedure to activate pairing mode.
  • How can I factory reset my Citation device?
    For Citation ONE, Citation 100, Citation Sub and Citation Surround, Press and hold the RESET button on the speaker for 5 seconds. For Citation 300, Citation 500, Citation Bar and Citation Tower, Press and hold the RESET button on the speaker for 5 seconds, or select the Factory Reset option in the touch screen settings menu.
  • How can I get a software update?
    Once the speaker/soundbar is connected to the network, software updates will automatically be sent to the speaker/soundbar through Wi-Fi or the internet, if available
  • How can I get further technical service?

  • How can I get music services (e.g., Spotify, YouTube Music, etc.) working with voice assistants?

    After setting up one or both voice assistants on your JBL Authentics speaker, you must make sure that you have connected your supported music service account to your Amazon and/or Google account in the Alexa and Google Home apps.


    For Alexa, if you then set one of the music services as default in the Alexa app settings, you can play music from this service just by asking Alexa to play music.

  • How can I get the JBL AmpUp App?
    Unfortunately, the JBL AmpUp App is no longer available for download.
  • How can I increase the playtime when connected to the USB wireless dongle?
    If you are not using the microphone, make sure that any communication software such as Zoom, Skype, Discord, etc. are closed and that your microphone is muted. You can also take advantage of it's Dual Connect feature and place one of the earbuds in the charging case and speed charge the earbuds to extend the playback time.
  • How can I mute the music playing without touching the Harman Kardon Allure speaker?
    That is easy, simply say "Alexa, mute" or "Alexa, mute music". To resume playback if needed, say "Alexa, resume playback".
  • How can I obtain the best Bluetooth performance for my AURA?
    We have some suggestions if you want to enjoy the best performance from your Bluetooth devices. 1. Please note that if you have a large number of Apps open in your smartphone or tablet, this may block or overtax its processor. Dropouts may result. Try to close all or most active apps. This should solve the problem. 2. Bluetooth signals from smartphones and tablets are not very strong. Make sure that the signal does not have to pass through doors, walls etc. Always maintain a clear line of sight between transmitter and receiver. 3. Do not carry your smartphone in your pocket, if you have dropouts. Your body can act as a screen, reducing the strength of the Bluetooth signal. Put the phone on a table or other surface. 4. Do not walk around while listening. If the transmitter and the receiver are moved in relation to each other, dropouts occur more frequently. 5. Under normal circumstances, you can expect a range of 5 meters with no problems, if you follow the above advice. In some instances range is longer, but we cannot promise this.
  • How can I pair my device through bluetooth?
    You can only pair bluetooth after you've successfully setup your Invoke. To put it in pairing mode, press the bluetooth button until the light flashes. You are now in pairing mode. Locate the Invoke on your device (phone, tablet, etc.) Select the Invoke. You should receive a tone indicating the pairing process is complete.
  • How can i pair the subwoofer to my SB150?
    On the back of the SB150 subwoofer, you will find a "pair" button. Hold down the pair button for 3 seconds. It will start flashing amber rapidly, indicating that the pairing mode has begun. You don't need to press other buttons to make a connection, once the amber light is steady, it is connected to your SB150 soundbar.
  • How can I play content with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X sound?
    To play the surround sound with DOLBY ATMOS or DTS:X, connect your Blu-ray player or other digital device to the HDMI input connector on the soundbar. If the TV support Dolby ATMOS, served over HDMI ARC, just make sure it is selected in the TV setting menu. To select the most suitable amount of sound effect of DOLBY ATMOS and DTS:X, press on the remote control ATMOS level button, to switch between MID, HIGH, LOW or OFF. Note: If your TV has an eARC HDMI input, you can connect your Blu-ray player or other digital device to the HDMI IN connector on the TV.
  • How can I prevent outsiders from playing music through my BDS via Bluetooth?
    To prevent other people from changing the source on your BDS through Bluetooth, you can disable the “Automatic Playback” function in the System Settings of the BDS ( 280, 580, 280S and 580S ). This does not prevent others from connecting to one of the two Bluetooth receivers in the BDS units, but it prevents other people from “interrupting” your playback source. This is where the change is done: Settings – System Settings Automatic Playback ( Enable/Disable ) Enabled: People can connect to your BDS and start playing music/audio. Your BDS will automatically change source ( or switch on, when BDS is in Standby mode ) from any source. Disabled: People can connect to your BDS, but the BDS will not automatically change source, or go out of Standby mode when a music/audio signal is sent through Bluetooth.

    You can reset the E25BT in two ways: 1: Press and hold Volume + and Volume - simultaneously for more than 3 seconds. This resets to factory settings, clearing the pairing list. 2: With unit in ON mode, plug in the USB cable. This resets the unit and puts it into charging mode.

    To reset your JBL Tuner simply Long press Volume+ and Bluetooth button for 5-7 seconds. Your Tuner is now successfully reset and you can Bluetooth pair with it again.
  • How can I reset my Omni+ speaker(s)?
    There is a reset button on the bottom of the Omni+ devices. Press and hold this button for 5 seconds to perform a factory reset of your product. All product settings, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connections will be erased. To reset the OMNI 50+ speaker, please do the following: First, press & hold ‘Source’, ‘Vol+’, ‘Vol-‘ buttons at the same time. The Omni 50+ will switched off, indicating that the product was successful reset. Secondly, press ‘power' button to turn on power for the Omni 50+ speaker.   • How can I reset my OMNI 50+ speaker. The reset button does not work?
    The reset procedure is quite different from the rest of the OMNI+ series. To reset the OMNI 50+ speaker, please do the following: First, press & hold ‘Source’, ‘Vol+’, ‘Vol-‘ buttons at the same time. The Omni 50+ will switched off, indicating that the product was successful reset. Secondly, press ‘power' button to turn on power for the Omni 50+ speaker.     On the back of your OMNI BAR+ there is a reset button. Hold it down for 5 seconds, until the round button LED lights up in white. The product is now reset and ready to be set up again.

  • How can I see if the battery is charging, and when it is fully charged?
    With the Onyx Studio 2 switched ON, the ON/OFF switch light flashes while the unit is charging. If the unit is switched OFF, no indication shows that charging is taking place, but charging still takes place. When charging is complete, the light becomes constant. There is no battery status indication, so it is not possible to follow the power level of the battery.
  • How can I see that charging is complete on my Y50BT?
    The red diode that lights up when charging begins will go out again when charging is complete.
  • How can I see that my T450BT is fully charged?
    The charging LED stops lighting white, and goes dark.
  • How can I see that the device is fully charged?
    When the Xtreme is ON, the row of 5 diodes at the bottom of the front will light up in turn, with the top flashing LED showing how far charging has progressed. When full charge has been reached, all diodes light constantly. In some cases, the fifth diode keeps on blinking, but does not light up constantly, no matter how long charging continues. Sometimes it will show constant light after charging has been stopped. This is normal, caused by tolerances in the circuits, and is no cause for alarm. The battery is charged to the same level. If the Xtreme is OFF, no diodes will light when full charge has been reached.
  • How can i see when it has finished charging?
    The red charge light turns off when charging has finished.
  • How can I see which firmware version is installed on my Aura Studio 2?
    By pressing and holding the "Volume+" and "Bluetooth" button together for 5 seconds. A voice will say the version number.
  • How can I set up my BDS 280S or BDS 580S to the WiFi?
    To choose a wireless network for your BDS system, please do the following. 1: Select Choose a network from the Setup Wi-Fi list. 2: Follow the instructions on the screen to select your wireless home network and enter your security password, if applicable.
  • How can I switch between Active Noise Cancellation, Smart Ambient (TalkThru) and off?
    Onboard Adaptive Noise Cancellation is controlled by the multi-function button on the rear of the left ear-cup. Switched on by default, you can SHORT press the multi-function button to toggle from ANC to talk-through. Turn off ANC by long-pressing the multi-function button.

    When the earbuds are connected to the USB wireless dongle and Bluetooth connection at the same time, triple tab on the left earbud to switch between the two connections. You'll hear a tone after you triple tab the left earbud signaling the switching is in progress. If you receive an incoming call from your mobile device, you can double tap either earbud  and the earbuds will automatically switch over to that connection while answering the call.
  • How can I trigger the USB playback?

    USB playback is available in US version only. After the USB drive is inserted, press and hold the "Play/Pause" & "Vol +" buttons for 10 seconds to start USB playback. Please note that there are no pause/next track/previous track controls for USB playback.

  • How can I update my LINK 10, LINK 20, LINK 300 and LINK 500 speaker?
    All updates will happen over-the-air, meaning that your device just needs to be connected via your Wi-Fi network with at least 30% battery and plugged into the charger, then it will update during the night if there are any new updates available.
  • How can I upgrade my Harman Kardon Allure speaker?
    The speaker will be automatically updated if any new software is available. You can check our HK Alexa setup app for more information, since the app will show a notification that new software was installed. Tap on the icon showing and see all release notes.
  • How can I upgrade the software on my Go + Play BT/Wireless?
    If/When a software update becomes available for this product, our upgrade toolkit (HID) can be found on our website HarmanKardon.com. With this tool you are able to update the firmware version of your speaker.
  • How can I upgrade the speaker?
    By using Google Home app, and if a software is available then the app will notify you about the newest software available. Google Home app can be downloaded from Apple Play Store or Google Play Store.
  • How can I use my JBL LINK 10 or LINK 20 with Google Assistant if I am out of range with my Wi-Fi?
    If your JBL Link 10 or Link 20 is out of range, setting up a personal hotspot from your mobile device will allow your Google Assistant to answer again. However, this process requires two mobile smartphones, one as the "mobile hotspot" and the second to connect the JBL Link 10 or Link 20 to your network.
  • How can I work with RGB lighting properly with JBL QuantumENGINE?
    Any changes you make on the Lighting page will be immediately reflected on your headset.
  • How can the headphones be restored to factory default?
    Switch the headphone ON, then press both volume buttons (VOL + and VOL-) at the same time, and hold them for 5-6 seconds. The headphones are now reset to factory default.
  • How can the K 915 wireless headset be paired to another transmitter, for instance if the original transmitter becomes defective?
    Here is the pairing procedure between a K915 headset and a new transmitter box: 1. Power off the headphone. 2. Power off the transmitter. 3. Press and hold the power button on the headphone until the “Signal” LED is flashing, and a beep sound can be heard. 4. Power on the transmitter. 5. After a short while the “Signal” LED will light constantly (stop flashing) and the pairing is complete.
  • How can the remote control for HK 3700 and HK 3770 be programmed to control other devices?
    Please refer to the owner's manual for AVR 151 or 151S. The procedure is explained there. The remote control contains a number of pre-programmed command sets that can be activated to control TV sets, disc players and other devices of various brands.
