  • Demo mode

    1. Press the Play and Boost button at the same time for 5 seconds.
    2. Depending on what state your JBL Partybox is in, either you enter Demo mode or disabling it.
      1. NOTE: In Demo mode, you cannot use the JBL Partybox as most features and buttons are not working.

  • The SmartThings app works with Alexa and can be used to control compatible products such as light bulbs, on/off switches, dimmer switches, thermostats, locks, and Scenes configured with the SmartThings app. To use your speaker to control these smart devices, follow these steps:

    1. Go to the speaker's page in the SmartThings app.
    2. Select Menu (3 dots on the top right corner).
    3. Select "Settings".
    4. Select "SmartThings with Alexa".
    5. Tap "Allow" to let Alexa to access all your compatible home devices.
    6. Select "Link".
    7. Tap "Done".
  • The ear pads can be removed and washed.
    To remove the ear pads, rotate them anti-clockwise to unlock (see image below).

    The ear pads must be hand washed only, do not machine wash - the water temperature used should be in the range specified below. Then wait for the ear pads to fully dry.

    Once fully dry, align the holes on the inside of the ear pads (highlighted with orange circles in the image below) with the clips on the headphones (located where the red arrows are pointing in the image below), now rotate the ear pad clockwise to lock the ear pads to the headphones again.

  • To skip the tracks forward, you press and hold the volume up button for 3 seconds. To skip tracks backward, press and hold the volume down button for 3 seconds.
  • It's normal that music will be interrupted for one or two seconds when entering Wireless Dual Sound mode. The two compatible speakers are synchronizing with each other during this connection process. Once they are in sync you will not experience any further interruption.
  • The Onyx Studio 7 features Dual Wireless Sound which allows you to connect two Onyx Studio 7 speakers together for a more powerful listening experience. Please note: You cannot connect the Onyx Studio 7 to other Onyx Studio speakers such as the Onyx Studio 6 and 5. 
  • If your DSP Tuning Software is not responding properly or is crashing, it is likely because the proper USB driver has not yet been installed.  There is an easy fix for this, and it does not require you to uninstall anything.

     
    1. If the tuning software is open, close it.
    2. Go back to your software install files and double-click on “USB Driver”.

    NOTE: Make sure to allow it to make changes to your computer if your anti-virus software requests it.

    1. After the driver is installed, reopen the software.  Your problem should be resolved.

  • Every home is different, so it is difficult to provide a universal guide that suits it all. What you can do is check the number of available access points in your home by performing a Wi-Fi network scan using a mobile device. Then select the Wi-Fi channel that isn't as busy as the rest. Also, check how much noise each speaker has using the Harman Kardon Controller app. Simply go into the settings menu and select "Send us feedback" to see the results, signals between -40 dB and -62 dB are considered good.

  • Yes , all 5 models have voice prompts. The Elite models have the added option of turning off the voice prompts in the settings menu of the app. The Everest 300 and 700, as well as the successors 310 and 710, have the option of choosing between voice prompts and tone prompts. This is how you do it: Switch the headphones ON. Press and hold the Shareme and the Volume Plus buttons for about two seconds. Switch the headphones OFF. You will now hear the OFF prompt having changed to the prompt you did not use before, and you will hear this one until you change it again.
  • No, the IP waterproof specification means that these speakers can be immersed in water 1 m deep for 30 minutes. It does not mean that they can float, so please be careful. If dropped, they will sink to the bottom.

  • It is not a bad idea to have the headphone charged before updating, but only if it is completely empty will there be any difference. To update via cable, a USB cable connection must be established between the headphone and the computer, and since the cable is also used for charging, there will be power to the headphone as long as it is connected to the computer.
