  • What should I do if the music is distorted or drops out on my Go + Play Mini while using Wireless Dual Sound?
    If you are having trouble with distortion or drop outs, try the following suggestions: 1. Move the audio source closer to the speakers. 2. Move the speakers closer to each other. 3. Make sure only one of the two speakers are connected to the audio source. If both are connected to the audio source, disconnect the connection between the audio source and the second speaker. 4. Make sure the audio source connects with one streaming speaker only, disconnect other Bluetooth connection. 5. Restart both your speakers and the audio source. 6. Make sure the environment is not congested by other wireless signals.
  • What settings should I use to get the most out of JBL QuantumSURROUND?
    Different games have different settings, but as a general rule, make sure that your game outputs multi-channel unprocessed audio. We recommend 7.1 surround, but 5.1 works too. Always disable any other processing (like DTS and Dolby).  
  • What router should i get, to have the best performance for my OMNI+ system?
    To have the best possible performance for OMNI+ system we advise to have a dual-band router with a powerful chipset and ram for best Wi-Fi performance. This will not only help our products to perform better and more stable, but your other devices at home will have more power and fewer interruptions. Please also be sure that your home Wi-Fi router has Multicast enabled, as our Omni+ system requires this feature enabled in order to work (same goes for Chromecast devices). Always connect our Omni+ system to 5 GHz Wi-Fi whenever possible to limit the risk of devices being slow or interrupted on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

    The Smart Case only supports English, so even if you change the language in the JBL Headphones app, it will remain in English.

  • What kinds of sensors do the Vi headphones have? Can they track my heart rate?
    The Vi headphones have a couple different sensors, including a touch sensor (for interacting with Vi), a gyroscope (for rotational motion), accelerometer (for movement or vibrations) and a barometer (for elevation / atmospheric pressure). Plus they house a “custom” sensor that uses visible-light and infrared LEDs along with photodiodes, all in the left ear bud, to determine your heart rate. The headphones can also talk to your iPhone/Android's GPS and Wi-Fi to help with figuring out location and other information.

    The range is approximately 10 meters, depending on the environment.
  • What is the purpose of the audio level adjustment on in-wall/in-ceiling speakers?
    The audio level adjustment is a dedicated control for adjusting the tweeter’s high frequency volume. It allows you attenuate up to 3dB, based on your environment and/or preference.
  • What is the purpose of having dual tweeters on a speaker?
    Speakers will dual tweeters gives listeners the ability to have a single speaker to drive two independent channels, ideally stereo left and right. Dual tweeter speakers are usually used for in-ceiling audio applications. They have four terminals (two sets of positives and negatives) used to plug in speaker wires from the amplifier.
  • What is the procedure to reset Xtreme?
    With the speaker ON, press and hold the VOL+ and Pause/Play buttons for 5-6 seconds. The Xtreme shuts down, and is now reset. You will need to 'forget' the speaker in Bluetooth settings on your phone/tablet in order to pair it again.

  • What is the difference between the Studio 2 and Arena Architectural speaker series?
    Apart from the driver materials, both the Studio 2 and Arena architectural speakers are quite the same. However, the Studio 2 series does deliver better high frequency versatility, thanks to the pivoting and level adjusting feature for the tweeter. The pivoting feature allows you to position/direct the tweeter toward the listening area. The level adjusting feature allows you to tune the high frequency (Zero to -3dB) as needed. These features are also available on select Harman Luxury Architectural speakers (Revel) as well.
  • What is the difference between the SB 250 and SB 350?
    The SB 250 has optical and auxiliary connections, while the SB 350 has both connections along with HDMI ARC. The SB 250 has the JBL SoundShift feature (one-button switch between TV and Bluetooth connection), while the SB 350 does not. Compared to the SB 250, the SB 350 has a more powerful subwoofer amplifier. The bigger amp will provide listeners with more bass response.

    The only difference between the 500 and 700 series is that the 700 model provides you with a charging case. The features and functionality on the actual headphones themselves are the same.

  • What is the difference between the first and second generation of Under Armour headphones?
    Wireless: Old name is Headphone Wireless. New name is Sport Wireless. Body is re-designed, the new body is smaller in diameter, but a bit longer. Angle of sound tube is changed slightly. Audio performance is improved. Enhancers slightly changed. Heartrate: Old name is Headphone Wireless Heartrate. New name is Sport Wireless Heartrate. Construction and design are unchanged.
  • What is the difference between the Endurance Sprint and Endurance Jump?
    The Endurance Jump features the power hook which provides a secure fit ear hook design, which automatically turns the power on/off when putting on or taking off the earphones. The Sprint does not feature the power hook and you manually have to turn on/off the headphones by pressing and holding the JBL logo on the RIGHT ear hook.

    Since there is no fixed standard for headphone connections, there are two cables in the box, with different polarity. If one cable does not give good audio results, try the other cable. This usually solves the problem. The majority of phone models (Apple, Samsung from Galaxy S2 model, LG, HTC, Sony, Motorola, Blackberry) require the audio cable with the silver plugs. Pin assignment in this cable from the tip of the plug: R/L/Ground/Microphone. However, some manufacturers, such as some models from Nokia, require a cable with different pin assignment, (R/L/Microphone/Ground). In this case, you should use the audio cable with the black plugs.

    The difference is the BTA unit, which is a Bluetooth transmitter. The Soundgear BTA comes with the BTA unit in the box. The Soundgear does not. The BTA can be connected (with a signal cable) to a TV set, a CD player, or any other stereo line-level source, and can then stream this signal to the Soundgear wirelessly, via Bluetooth. TV sound or game sound are possible, since the BTA and the Soundgear use aptX Low Latency, which reduces the audio delay to levels, where picture and sound will be closely synchronized. This is also the secret behind the option to connect two Soundgears to one BTA unit, for two people to share a TV transmission, or a video game. Actually, you can use the BTA to stream to most other Bluetooth headphones and loudspeakers, but only if these devices also support aptX LL will the delay be low enough for video use.

    You'll have all the benefits from HDMI 2.0, but with 2.0a you will also have HDR (High Dynamic Range). Don't confuse HDR with cameras, this is used for TV's that support HDR content. In short, if a Blu-Ray supports HDR, it can enhanced dark scenes from a movie with this option.
