  • What is TruNote™ Auto Sound Calibration?
    Headphones are tuned on a finely calibrated, standardized fixture to meet our target sound profile – but our heads are not finely tuned, calibrated fixtures so the sound we actually hear is different from the designed curve due to variations in how the headphones fit on each of us, meaning most people do not hear the target sound of the headphone.    Harman’s TruNote auto calibration technology is a patented algorithm that calibrates the sound of the headphone to each individual by measuring the unique fit of the headphone to the user.  The system automatically adjusts the sound of the headphone, creating a personalized equalization that restores the sound of headphone to the design target. The headphone sound is automatically personalized to each individual ensuring that they hear JBL sound as we engineered it to sound = better audio
  • What is this new simultaneous voice assistant experience?

    Now, with Google Assistant and Alexa available simultaneously on your JBL Authentics speakers, you can choose to use one or both voice services available. This means you can set up just Alexa, just Google Assistant, or both. If you choose to set up both services, they will be at the ready. You can use either of them whenever you want simply by saying either “Hey Google” or “Alexa”.

  • What is the wearing style of the Soundgear Sense?

    Soundgear Sense provides two wearing styles, either as regular TWS headphones with an ear hook for a secure fit, or as a neckband headphone with the optional detachable neckband. Both wearing styles offer the same open ear experience with rich, full-range sound, it is just a matter of your own preference or use case which wearing style you choose. 

  • What is the voltage and power consumption
    Voltage is 100 - 240 Volt AC. Maximum power consumption is 120 Watts.
  • What is the USB connection on the back of the product for?
    This connection is intended for software and service updates only.
  • What is the requirement for the JBL Everest GA series?
    These are the supported languages for the Everest GA series.

    Both the OMNI BAR+ and its subwoofer have 200W of power amplification, which means that total system power is 400 W.
  • What is the rated power of the Omni 50+ speaker with and without AC power?
    The Omni 50+ rated power with AC power connected is 4 X 25 Watt. When using battery only, the rated power is 4 X 15 Watt.
  • What is the range of JBL LIVE headphones? How far can I go from the source device, while listening to my JBL LIVE headphones?
    The range is approximately 10 meters, depending on the environment.
  • What is the purpose of the audio level adjustment on in-wall/in-ceiling speakers?
    The audio level adjustment is a dedicated control for adjusting the tweeter’s high frequency volume. It allows you attenuate up to 3dB, based on your environment and/or preference.
  • What is the purpose of having dual tweeters on a speaker?
    Speakers will dual tweeters gives listeners the ability to have a single speaker to drive two independent channels, ideally stereo left and right. Dual tweeter speakers are usually used for in-ceiling audio applications. They have four terminals (two sets of positives and negatives) used to plug in speaker wires from the amplifier.
  • What is the procedure to reset Xtreme?
    With the speaker ON, press and hold the VOL+ and Pause/Play buttons for 5-6 seconds. The Xtreme shuts down, and is now reset. You will need to 'forget' the speaker in Bluetooth settings on your phone/tablet in order to pair it again.
  • What is the overall power rating of the Citation MultiBeam 1100?
    The overall power rating is 630 W maximum power at 1% THD.

    The No. 585 will deliver 350 watts into 4 ohms

    Wireless Dual Sound feature supports a maximum of two speakers. Both the GO + PLAY MINI and the other speaker must have the Dual Sound feature.

    The same as the 8 ohm output, 125 watts/channel.
  • What is the length?
    JBL Bar 9.1 is 884 mm (without the surrounds in charging position). Surrounds add approx. 160 mm on each side, in charging position.
  • What is the latest software version available for Flip 3?
    Software version v.7.9 is the latest for the Flip 3
  • What is the function of the EQ Button in the remote app for AURA?
    The EQ Button activates a special "wide stereo sound" effect. It does not affect bass settings. Turning EQ On/Off does not reset bass level to default value. User can adjust BASS in the Bass +/- control in the APP.
  • What is the Frequency response of the Citation series?
    The Frequency response for the Citation series, except the subwoofer, is 50Hz to 20Khz.

    Playing time is up to 20 hours.

  • What is the difference between the Studio 2 and Arena Architectural speaker series?
    Apart from the driver materials, both the Studio 2 and Arena architectural speakers are quite the same. However, the Studio 2 series does deliver better high frequency versatility, thanks to the pivoting and level adjusting feature for the tweeter. The pivoting feature allows you to position/direct the tweeter toward the listening area. The level adjusting feature allows you to tune the high frequency (Zero to -3dB) as needed. These features are also available on select Harman Luxury Architectural speakers (Revel) as well.
  • What is the difference between the SB 250 and SB 350?
    The SB 250 has optical and auxiliary connections, while the SB 350 has both connections along with HDMI ARC. The SB 250 has the JBL SoundShift feature (one-button switch between TV and Bluetooth connection), while the SB 350 does not. Compared to the SB 250, the SB 350 has a more powerful subwoofer amplifier. The bigger amp will provide listeners with more bass response.
  • What is the difference between the Inspire 500 and the Inspire 700?
    The only difference between the 500 and 700 series is that the 700 model provides you with a charging case. The features and functionality on the actual headphones themselves are the same.
  • What is the difference between the Focus 500 and the Focus 700?
    The only difference between the 500 and 700 series is that the 700 model provides you with a charging case. The features and functionality on the actual headphones themselves are the same.
  • What is the difference between the first and second generation of Under Armour headphones?
    Wireless: Old name is Headphone Wireless. New name is Sport Wireless. Body is re-designed, the new body is smaller in diameter, but a bit longer. Angle of sound tube is changed slightly. Audio performance is improved. Enhancers slightly changed. Heartrate: Old name is Headphone Wireless Heartrate. New name is Sport Wireless Heartrate. Construction and design are unchanged.
  • What is the difference between the Endurance Sprint and Endurance Jump?
    The Endurance Jump features the power hook which provides a secure fit ear hook design, which automatically turns the power on/off when putting on or taking off the earphones. The Sprint does not feature the power hook and you manually have to turn on/off the headphones by pressing and holding the JBL logo on the RIGHT ear hook.
  • What is the difference between the cable with silver and the cable with black plugs?
    Since there is no fixed standard for headphone connections, there are two cables in the box, with different polarity. If one cable does not give good audio results, try the other cable. This usually solves the problem. The majority of phone models (Apple, Samsung from Galaxy S2 model, LG, HTC, Sony, Motorola, Blackberry) require the audio cable with the silver plugs. Pin assignment in this cable from the tip of the plug: R/L/Ground/Microphone. However, some manufacturers, such as some models from Nokia, require a cable with different pin assignment, (R/L/Microphone/Ground). In this case, you should use the audio cable with the black plugs.
  • What is the difference between the BDS 335 and BDS 635?
    The BDS 335 system is a 2.1 sound system, and speaker set included in this version is HKTS 335 speaker system. The BDS 635 system is a 5.1 sound system, and speaker set included in this version is HKTS 635 speaker system. That is the only difference between these two systems.
  • What is the difference between the 5000 and the 10000 mAH battery size stated on the box?
    The physical battery has a capacity of 5000mAh @7.4V. This is the charged battery storage. When outputting ( so power from the battery is drawn ), it's using 3.7V, so half of the voltage, which will give you 37Wh - equivalent to a 10.000mAh battery with power stored at 3.7V
  • What is the difference between the 10.000 and the 20.000 mAH battery size stated on the box?
    The physical battery in Boombox has a capacity of 10.000mAh @7.4V. This is the charged battery storage. When outputting ( so power from the battery is drawn ), it's using 3.7V, half the storage voltage, which will give you 74Wh - equivalent to a 20.000mAh battery with power stored at 3.7V.
  • What is the difference between Soundgear and Soundgear BTA?
    The difference is the BTA unit, which is a Bluetooth transmitter. The Soundgear BTA comes with the BTA unit in the box. The Soundgear does not. The BTA can be connected (with a signal cable) to a TV set, a CD player, or any other stereo line-level source, and can then stream this signal to the Soundgear wirelessly, via Bluetooth. TV sound or game sound are possible, since the BTA and the Soundgear use aptX Low Latency, which reduces the audio delay to levels, where picture and sound will be closely synchronized. This is also the secret behind the option to connect two Soundgears to one BTA unit, for two people to share a TV transmission, or a video game. Actually, you can use the BTA to stream to most other Bluetooth headphones and loudspeakers, but only if these devices also support aptX LL will the delay be low enough for video use.

    The difference is that the new ECO versions of Go 3 and Clip 4 are made from 90% PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastic and wrapped in 100% recycled fabric on the speaker grille, while still delivering the same rich JBL Original Pro Sound and significantly reducing the carbon footprint of the product.

  • What is the difference between HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 2.0a?
    You'll have all the benefits from HDMI 2.0, but with 2.0a you will also have HDR (High Dynamic Range). Don't confuse HDR with cameras, this is used for TV's that support HDR content. In short, if a Blu-Ray supports HDR, it can enhanced dark scenes from a movie with this option.

    100 is in-ear, 300 is on-ear, 700 is over-ear.
  • What is the difference between Dolby Atmos and MultiBeam?
    Dolby Atmos is an object-based surround sound format. Harman Kardon MultiBeam is a beam-forming surround sound system that creates a wide surround sound effect.
  • What is the difference between AURA and AURA Studio?
    AURA Studio is a Bluetooth speaker plus microphone built-in, where AURA has Wi-Fi built-in for AirPlay, DLNA and Spotify Connect solutions.
  • What is the diameter of the speaker unit inside the AKG N60NC and N60NC Wireless?
    These two models have 40 mm speaker units.
  • What is the default function of the "Smart" button, before any changes have been done in the app?
    The Smart button activates Ambient aware settings: Off, Low, High.
  • What is the clip in the headphones box used for?
    A clip has been included to help ensure the best fit and security of the headphones. Placing the clip on the audio cord and attaching to the top back of your shirt you should be able to twist your head right and left without the clip pulling your ear.
  • What is the Bluetooth Range?
    The Bluetooth range varies. However, you should get up to 15 meters (just under 50 ft) when using the product indoors. If you are using the headphones outside, conditions vary based on surroundings and body mass. For the best connectivity results, please make sure that the device you are paired to is in the front of your body.
  • What is the best way to insert the ear tips?
    We recommend inserting the ear tips (L for left, R for right located at the end of the ear tip extension) in the ear first and then proceed to wrap the ear loop around your ear. Please make sure to try all three sizes to insure the most comfortable fit.
  • What is the battery life expectancy for Clip2?
    Up to 8 hours of play time, depending on how loud you play and the source material.
  • What is the "Software" connection on the back of the product?
    This connection is intended for software and service updates only.
  • What is social mode?
    If social mode is switched on, it is possible to connect up to three source devices. Either device can take over playing. It is the last source-device which presses play, which plays music.
  • What is Smart Talk?

    When you need to talk to someone in person while wearing headphones, the advanced built in voice recognition algorithms react to your voice, automatically pauses the music, and enables TalkThru if you just speak. Music and ANC resume after the conversation is over. There is no need to pause the music manually or remove the headphones - start talking and let the technology do the rest. You can extend the duration of Smart Talk in the JBL Headphones app when no voice is detected.

  • What is Low Volume Dynamic EQ and what are the benefits with this feature?

    The Low Volume Dynamic EQ feature can optimize EQ, boosts low and high frequencies to maintain the same high-fidelity performance at low volume. When you listen to music in low volume, the whole music dynamic will be decreased due to low and high frequency volume reduction. Some music is best to enjoy at a higher volume, but this approach can hurt your ears. With Low Volume Dynamic EQ, you can still receive an enjoyable music experience even in low or high volume, and still protect your ears without compromising on the listening experience.

  • What is HDCP 2.2?
    HDCP stands for High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection. In short term, this is used to protect 4K material from illegal pirating. Every device in your chain system, must support HDCP 2.2, meaning if your 4K Blue-Ray player has HDCP 2.2, then your Soundbar must support it (SB450 does) and TV as well, or else you won't see any 4K material. In case your TV do not support HDCP 2.2, then it will downscale to 1080P content, this is done by the Blue-Ray player.
  • What is Dolby Atmos and what does it do?
    Dolby Atmos is a 3D surround sound format.
    Using Dolby Atmos, the soundbar can reproduce multi-channel surround sound, including a virtual height channel.
