  • The quality of content depends on your Internet bandwidth. The minimum Internet speed is at least 25Mbps (megabit per second) or above for the best performance.
When using the LINK BAR to the WiFi router, always use 5 GHz WiFi band for highest performance at any time.

If you are still struggling with the quality of your content, then we have added an Ethernet port (LAN connection), which allows you to wire the LINK BAR for a steadier connection and performance.

    More actionable advice:
    • Limit your device(s) at night or when you are streaming content that requires the best performance possible!
    • Upgrade older product that could cause slow data transfer.
    • Move devices that are capable of connecting to 5 GHz WiFi and leave "Legacy" product on 2.4 GHz only.
    • Upgrade your router. Upgrading to a newer generation router is cheap and effective way to improve your home network in every way. It provides both a better Wi-Fi range and stronger signal.
    • We are recommending that you go for a mid to high-level Wi-Fi router.
  • Make sure your WiFi extender's name is not the same as that of your main WiFi network. Please use 5 GHz WiFi extenders only for best performance.
  • When the secondary speaker gets out of range, audio disappears, but there is no indication that the transmission is out of range, other than silence. Once they get within range again, the front panel LED blinks a few times, indicating that connection has been re-established. During normal operation, random blinking can be experienced, which is an indication of the wireless link having recovered from interference.
  • Please note that the AUX source supports a variety of input connections. By pressing the AUX button on the remote several times, the input toggles between the different audio inputs. Please press the remote control AUX button repeatedly, until the front display shows the correct input source. This should set the AUX input correctly, and you should have audio back in your speakers, to let you enjoy your Harman Kardon system.
  • The ALLURE PORTABLE is not constantly looking for a wi-fi system. When you turn the unit on, it finds the wi-fi, connects, and begins working. When you move into another section with a different router, the ALLURE PORTABLE will no longer be connected. You will have to turn the ALLURE PORTABLE off and then back on again, so that it can find it's new wi-fi router.
  • No, the Bluetooth name is fixed and not changeable. If you have multiple ESQUIRE2 in your Bluetooth list, and when activating one of them, it should be the "first" on your Bluetooth list.
  • The first 105 files are registered right away. If you know that you have more files in the DLNA system, wait for close to a minute, while the BDS -75 / -77 registers the additional files. After a short while, it will begin counting until all files are registered, or until the maximum of 2000 files is reached.
  • In the Owner's Manual, we say "Up to 30 m (between primary and secondary speakers)". This applies to an ideal setup, with no obstacles and interference, and if there is interference at this distance, you will have to reduce the distance between the speakers. Please check for any objects and obstacles that could cause interruptions.
  • Please make sure that if you use 5GHz or 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, all your speakers are connected to either 2.4GHz or all are connected to 5GHz Wi-Fi to have the best performance.
  • Our Control X Wireless speakers use Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz network to connect them. If there are any obstacles or people blocking the connection, it can cause interference. We suggest positioning the speakers on a high-level surface or shelf, to avoid any interference.
  • Please place your AVR in full Standby by holding the Power Button for at least three seconds. Now, when you switch it ON again, the problem should have disappeared. Please note that Sleep Mode is not sufficient, you must use full Standby.
  • Please make sure that your BDS is connected to the home network router also used by your smartphone.
