  • What formats does the optical input supports?
    The optical input supports these formats: 2-ch PCM with 44.1k or 48k support, and Dolby Digital (1.0 to 5.1 channels).
  • What happens if I connect both HDMI eARC and optical to the TV input?
    The soundbar will auto switch the source between HDMI eARC and optical. HDMI eARC is higher priority than optical source. It is not possible to manually switch from HDMI to optical.
  • What happens if you have multiple Citation speakers, will all react to "Hey Google" or "OK Google"?
    All speakers are set to react when you use the keywords to interact with Google. To eliminate multiple speakers talking at the same time, using the "Microphone Mute" button will stop the speaker from reacting to the keywords.
  • What happens if you have multiple JBL LINK speakers, will all react to "Hey Google" or "OK Google"?

  • What happens to my information if I uninstall Google Home / delete my account / lose my JBL LINK 10, 20 speaker?
    You can access your Assistant history if you go to My Activity (myactivity.google.com) or the My Activity link in the Google Home app to view what you have asked and delete it if you want.
  • What HDCP version is featured in the AVR and BDS models?
    All AVR models up to and including 151S, 161S and 171S feature HDCP version 1.4. (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection). This is also true for BDS 280, 580, 280S and 580S. It is not possible to update to version 2.2 with any software/firmware update, as this requires a hardware change. Future models may feature version 2.2, made for UHD/4k content.
  • What HDMI version does the SB20 support?
    The Harman Kardon SB20 supports HDMI 1.4 with ARC to the TV.
  • What HDMI version is supported for AVR 1x1S models?
    Our AVR151S features HDMI 1.4a with 3D ready. AVR 161S and AVR 171S feature HDMI 2.0 with 3D ready. HDR is not supported.
  • What if my game doesn’t support surround sound?
    No worries! You have two options—you can either plug the headset in with the included 3.5mm plug OR simply turn JBL QuantumSURROUND off within the JBL QuantumENGINE.
  • What is Adjustable Ambient Aware?
    We use the microphones on the outside of the earcup to pick up the outside ambient noise and play through the headphone. With the unique JBL solution, the user can adjust the level of the ambient noise up or down, and the balance from left to right, so that they are in full control of how loud the ambient sound is in each earcup.
  • What is a voice assistant?
    Voice assistants from Google and Amazon utilize artificial intelligence to quickly answer questions, communicate hands-free and provide notifications among many other helpful benefits. 
  • What is Clari-fi?
    If you download, stream or play music on a digital device, your music is digitally-compressed. Compression can remove up to 90% of the audio details originally recorded in your favorite songs – so you're left listening to a reduced version of the real thing.
