Soundgear Sense provides two wearing styles, either as regular TWS headphones with an ear hook for a secure fit, or as a neckband headphone with the optional detachable neckband. Both wearing styles offer the same open ear experience with rich, full-range sound, it is just a matter of your own preference or use case which wearing style you choose. 

Now, with Google Assistant and Alexa available simultaneously on your JBL Authentics speakers, you can choose to use one or both voice services available. This means you can set up just Alexa, just Google Assistant, or both. If you choose to set up both services, they will be at the ready. You can use either of them whenever you want simply by saying either “Hey Google” or “Alexa”.

Headphones are tuned on a finely calibrated, standardized fixture to meet our target sound profile – but our heads are not finely tuned, calibrated fixtures so the sound we actually hear is different from the designed curve due to variations in how the headphones fit on each of us, meaning most people do not hear the target sound of the headphone.    Harman’s TruNote auto calibration technology is a patented algorithm that calibrates the sound of the headphone to each individual by measuring the unique fit of the headphone to the user.  The system automatically adjusts the sound of the headphone, creating a personalized equalization that restores the sound of headphone to the design target. The headphone sound is automatically personalized to each individual ensuring that they hear JBL sound as we engineered it to sound = better audio

Windows Sonic is a virtual surround algorithm that is built into Windows 10 PCs. You can read more here:

Wireless Stereo Boost allows you to connect two of the same model speakers together for a more powerful listening experience. 

To use this feature, hold the Bluetooth button on both speakers for more than 5 seconds.

The left & right channels can be swapped by tapping the Bluetooth button on the host speaker twice.

The Onyx Studio 8 features Wireless Stereo Boost which allows you to connect two Onyx Studio 8 speakers together for a more powerful listening experience. Please note: You cannot connect the Onyx Studio 8 to other Onyx Studio speakers such as the Onyx Studio 7, 6 and 5.

The JBL Quantum Stream microphone is compatible with the JBL QuantumENGINE software. You can customize or use the following settings/features via the JBL QuantumENGINE:

Only data to make Google Assistant more efficient and Google services faster. When interacting with the speaker you will receive more personalized feedback in the future.

The ITX models come with two sizes: size 5 and the larger size 7. They are referred to as the Limited Edition lock tongue and groove enhancers. You can purchase two pairs for $10 on the Yurbuds accessories and enhancers page.

The Vi headphones have a couple different sensors, including a touch sensor (for interacting with Vi), a gyroscope (for rotational motion), accelerometer (for movement or vibrations) and a barometer (for elevation / atmospheric pressure). Plus they house a “custom” sensor that uses visible-light and infrared LEDs along with photodiodes, all in the left ear bud, to determine your heart rate. The headphones can also talk to your iPhone/Android's GPS and Wi-Fi to help with figuring out location and other information.

The Smart Case only supports English, so even if you change the language in the JBL Headphones app, it will remain in English.

The JBL QuantumENGINE supports up to 20 languages. You can select the preferred language in the system section.

The ear cushions are made of protein leather.

The JBL Quantum 910 Wireless headset is compatible via 3.5mm jack with PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, Mac and VR. You can use the USB connection with PC, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.

The JBL Quantum ONE headset is compatible via 3.5mm jack with PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, Mac and VR. You can use the USB connection with PC.

The JBL Quantum TWS supports two types of wireless connection at the same time. It's compatible with any Bluetooth compatible devices while the USB wireless dongle enables compatibility with PC/Mac, PS4/5, Nintendo Switch^TM, TV and iPads and Android^TM devices with USB-Connection (Note: Type-C supports PS5 while type-A is compatible with all PlayStation^TM model).

The Harman Kardon Wireless HD Audio System uses UDP ports 6060 and 6080.

To have the best possible performance for OMNI+ system we advise to have a dual-band router with a powerful chipset and ram for best Wi-Fi performance. This will not only help our products to perform better and more stable, but your other devices at home will have more power and fewer interruptions. Please also be sure that your home Wi-Fi router has Multicast enabled, as our Omni+ system requires this feature enabled in order to work (same goes for Chromecast devices). Always connect our Omni+ system to 5 GHz Wi-Fi whenever possible to limit the risk of devices being slow or interrupted on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

Different games have different settings, but as a general rule, make sure that your game outputs multi-channel unprocessed audio. We recommend 7.1 surround, but 5.1 works too. Always disable any other processing (like DTS and Dolby).  

If you are having trouble with distortion or drop outs, try the following suggestions: 1. Move the audio source closer to the speakers. 2. Move the speakers closer to each other. 3. Make sure only one of the two speakers are connected to the audio source. If both are connected to the audio source, disconnect the connection between the audio source and the second speaker. 4. Make sure the audio source connects with one streaming speaker only, disconnect other Bluetooth connection. 5. Restart both your speakers and the audio source. 6. Make sure the environment is not congested by other wireless signals.

The first thing you’ll notice is that sound no longer feels like it’s “inside your head.” Suddenly it seems like the game audio is coming from high-quality loudspeakers—or the virtual game world—all around you.

It’s a different experience than you get with other headphones, and may take a little while to adjust to. For example, sounds coming from sources in the distance will seem farther away, as they would in real life. Even though you might be used to those sounds feeling closer with other headphones, JBL QuantumSURROUND provides hyper-accurate spatialization that can give you a competitive edge.

So spend some time dialing in the EQ to your liking, and see how real-world hearing helps you pinpoint enemies and bring the game to life. 
 

The standard size that comes on all Endurance Series models is the size 5. There are other sizes 6, 7, and 8 available on the yurbuds accessories and enhancers page that you can purchase for $10. Shipping and Handling is included.

It's matter of preference and choice, but our biggest speaker, Arena 180, will have the most powerful sound , but also requires some space. Our bookshelf speakers, Arena 120 & Arena 130, are also a nice addition to your home system, and will also provide powerful sound. These can be wall-mounted, which you might prefer over floor standing speakers. All of the Arena series will provide a good audio experience, so you won't go empty handed with any of them!

The Inspire Pro and the Focus Pro Performance Fit earphones both feature a dry microphone and 3-button control remote. These features allow convenient navigation of music on your iPod® or iPhone® during rigorous activity even during extended use. The components within the 3-button control/ dry mic® are specifically selected for compatibility with: iPhone® (3GS, 4, 4S, 5), iPod® (120GB & 160GB classic; 4th, 5th, & 6th generation nano; 3rd & 4th generation shuffle), iPod® Touch (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th generation) and iPad® (1, 2, 3, 4). Some features may work with other devices.

If your teammates can not hear you, make sure of the following:

USB is correctly plugged in
Only one voice chat application is in use while in-game.
The mic input is set to JBL Quantum Stream.
Mic gain is not turned all the way down
Mic is not muted (mute/unmute by pressing the touch panel on top of the mic). By default the RBG will indicate red for muted, and green for unmuted(active).

 

Let's run through some basic check marks to ensure we didn't miss anything while setting up your device.

1. Your Citation device is turned on
2. Check the password you have entered, and re-enter it again (typos can happen).
3. Make sure your mobile device has the initial support needed:
   1. Android 4.4 OS and higher
   2. Apple iOS 10 OS and higher
   3. The latest version of Google Home app
4. Your phone needs Bluetooth to be on 
5. Enable Location Service (Android only)
6. Plus you need to permit Google Home app to access your location on the phone (Android only).

The basic check is done, and we are now moving into your Wireless network setup.

1. Try moving your speaker closer to the Wireless network router 
2. Have you previously connected the speaker to your WiFi network?  If yes, look below or move to "Troubleshooting"
   1. Did you recently make any changes to your network, such as buying a new router, adding an extender, or maybe changed settings?

   2. Maybe your ISP (Internet Service Provider) did some changes, possibly even updating your Wireless router software.

If you still are experiencing issues connecting the device to your Wireless network, let's do some further troubleshooting.

Troubleshooting

1. Your WiFi router might need a reboot, unplug power for 1 minute and connect power again.
   1. While you are rebooting your WiFi router, we advise doing the same for your speaker. Simply disconnect power and reconnect power again.
   2. In case rebooting the speaker didn't work, let's try resetting your speaker by pressing the Reset Button for 5 seconds (Front LED will light up).
2. Go ahead with the setup again (remember to open Google Home app )
3. Reboot your mobile device

WiFi Network Troubleshooting

• Check your WiFi router settings. Be sure that UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) is enabled.
• Change Wireless channels on your WiFi router on 2.4G or 5G..
  • Avoid using other channels on 2.4G other than 1, 6 and 11. The rest are a NO-GO.
  • Keep a maximum of 8 devices in total on 2.4G (that is including our speakers).
  • Move products to WiFi 5G band, if they support it, to reduce the stress factor on the 2.4G band
• Check your WiFi router to see if there is a MAC address limitation.
  • MAC address limitation is when your router is set/fixed to a maximum of 20 devices (or whatever it may have been configured for).
  • When you want to add the 21st device your router will deny access because you have filled up the 20 devices.
  • You need to clear or delete old devices that are not in use anymore. This may require someone with technical knowledge.
  • We advise that you don't have any MAC address limitations at all.
• Avoid bad extenders (Cheap ones are often not powerful enough to deal with or handle the kind of data required to transmit high quality audio).
  • With extenders, the connection between "router and extender" is decreased by 50%.  That said, your data will be even slower,. having to processes it while the speed is decreased.

There are more things you can do to optimize your WiFi router, but these above are the most common issues happening in users homes.
