  • HDCP (High Definition Copy Protection) 2.2 will become mandatory for 4K/UHD content only. First source should be the 4K BD player announced at IFA for spring 2016 from Samsung. In case of HDCP 2.2, the whole chain needs to be compatible to work from source to AVR to TV. If one of the devices in the chain is not HDCP 2.2-compliant, the player will downscale the content to 1080p. No black screen. This is the theory, anyway. HDCP 2.2 is copy-protection, so it does not decode the signal, but is concerned with preserving the content from being copied and distributed on the internet. The problem of HDCP 2.2 is that it is hardware-based, and not software-based, so there is nothing we can do on our existing models, like any other AVR manufacturer or TV. Please note that self-produced 4K material is no problem, since self-produced material has no digital HDCP copy protection. Only streamed material and UHD-Blu-ray will not work, since the HDCP protection will stop the signal in the receiver.
  • There are a couple of things that you will need to install your Harman Kardon Allure speaker. 1. Amazon account (US, UK or Germany are the only ones supported now). 2. An Android device (Android 6.x and up) or Apple device (iOS 9.3 and up). 3. A Wi-Fi network with UPnP enabled. 4. Our HK Alexa setup app from the App store. If you have met all the criteria for installing your new Harman Kardon Allure speaker, then you are ready to enjoy a voice-activated speaker and great music!
  • These are bass tuning canals, used to provide full sound.
  • The silver cable is intended for use with Apple sources. The black cable is intended for use with Android/universal sources.

  • There are tons of features that you can use with your Harman Kardon Allure spaeker and Alexa app. We advise going to Amazon's own webpage for more assistance with the Alexa app and what you can do with it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201602230
  • It is possible to rename the Bluetooth name of the primary connected device and set the Party or Stereo mode. If a firmware upgrade is available for any Connect, Connect+, or Partyboost compatible speaker, this can be installed through the JBL Portable app. Only identical products can be set to stereo mode. Please note that, even though you can pair a Boost TV with JBL Connect, you cannot control this from the JBL Connect App
  • You can adjust equalizer, RGB LED effects, change microphone settings and update the headset's firmware.
  • Sometimes, when the soundbar is connected to a digital TV, the audio may not synchronize with the video. If the video is behind the audio, adjust the audio delay time to match the video.

You can set the audio delay time between 0 msec and 250 msec.

Note: The audio delay time you specify may not be exact, depending on the played content.

The audio sync function will not resolve instances where the video is ahead of the audio.

  • The calibration sound setup process ensures the soundbar delivers the best 3D surround effects for any interior and room layout.

  • All products must be on Wi-Fi 5GHz network, and you need two additional OMNI+ speakers of the same model (2 x OMNI 20+ for example) to create 5.1 wireless surround sound.
  • Power button, no light: Product is OFF. Power button, constant light: Product is ON. Power button: constant white, when no Bluetooth device connected. When charging, the blinking LED shows how far charging has progressed. When fully charged, the LED lights will turn off. JBL Connect button flashes white in connection mode. • You can adjust equalizer, RGB LED effects, calibrate Quantum ONE headtracking, change microphone settings and update the headset's firmware.

  • All AVR models up to and including 151S, 161S and 171S feature HDCP version 1.4. (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection). This is also true for BDS 280, 580, 280S and 580S. It is not possible to update to version 2.2 with any software/firmware update, as this requires a hardware change. Future models may feature version 2.2, made for UHD/4k content.
  • No worries! You have two options—you can either plug the headset in with the included 3.5mm plug OR simply turn JBL QuantumSURROUND off within the JBL QuantumENGINE.
  • JBL Connect+ can wirelessly link more than 100 JBL Connect+ enabled speakers together to amplify the party
  • JBL Pro Sound is achieved through robust 40mm Mica Dome drivers, which are precisely tuned to deliver deep bass, balanced mids and crystal-clear highs. Each Mica Dome deliver refined high frequencies above 40kHz for the best on-the-go listening experience. Mica is a renewable mineral that can be split into extremely thin elastic plates, making it flexible enough to respond fast and precisely to the electrical signals in headphone drivers.

  • Spatial sound gives a more natural, realistic and accurate immersive experience whether you are listening to music, movies or games.

The technology processes more details from any stereo content, which generates reflections and reverberation signals. The integrated head tracking means that sound stay fixed in space even when you turn your head, which adds a new layer of realism to your immersive listening.

  • The Smart Tx draws power from the source when using it with a USB-C connection. The battery life of the Smart Tx is 18 hours when the product is connected with a 3.5mm aux connection or used without a connection to a power source.

  • These two models have 40 mm speaker units.
  • The JBL QuantumSURROUND algorithm is specifically designed from the ground up to work with JBL Quantum gaming headsets—the software perfectly complements the hardware for incredibly realistic immersion. JBL QuantumSURROUND provides a strong sense of externalization, meaning that sound feels like it’s coming from loudspeakers in a professional listening room—or from the game world around you. With other spatialized audio solutions, it still feels like the sound is coming from the headphones, or just outside of them.
  • The difference is the BTA unit, which is a Bluetooth transmitter. The Soundgear BTA comes with the BTA unit in the box. The Soundgear does not. The BTA can be connected (with a signal cable) to a TV set, a CD player, or any other stereo line-level source, and can then stream this signal to the Soundgear wirelessly, via Bluetooth. TV sound or game sound are possible, since the BTA and the Soundgear use aptX Low Latency, which reduces the audio delay to levels, where picture and sound will be closely synchronized. This is also the secret behind the option to connect two Soundgears to one BTA unit, for two people to share a TV transmission, or a video game. Actually, you can use the BTA to stream to most other Bluetooth headphones and loudspeakers, but only if these devices also support aptX LL will the delay be low enough for video use.
  • The distance between wall-mounts centers are: JBL BAR Studio: 45 cm. JBL BAR 2.1: 70 cm. JBL BAR 3.1: 70 cm. JBL BAR 5.1: 61 cm JBL BAR 5.1 Surround: 71.85 cm JBL BAR 9.1: 55,5 cm
  • The Omni 50+ rated power with AC power connected is 4 X 25 Watt. When using battery only, the rated power is 4 X 15 Watt.
  • Both the OMNI BAR+ and its subwoofer have 200W of power amplification, which means that total system power is 400 W.

  • Windows Sonic is a virtual surround algorithm that is built into Windows 10 PCs. You can read more here:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/coreaudio/spatial-sound
  • The JBL QuantumENGINE supports up to 20 languages. You can select the preferred language in the system section.

  • To have the best possible performance for OMNI+ system we advise to have a dual-band router with a powerful chipset and ram for best Wi-Fi performance. This will not only help our products to perform better and more stable, but your other devices at home will have more power and fewer interruptions. Please also be sure that your home Wi-Fi router has Multicast enabled, as our Omni+ system requires this feature enabled in order to work (same goes for Chromecast devices). Always connect our Omni+ system to 5 GHz Wi-Fi whenever possible to limit the risk of devices being slow or interrupted on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
  • Different games have different settings, but as a general rule, make sure that your game outputs multi-channel unprocessed audio. We recommend 7.1 surround, but 5.1 works too. Always disable any other processing (like DTS and Dolby).
  • The first thing you’ll notice is that sound no longer feels like it’s “inside your head.” Suddenly it seems like the game audio is coming from high-quality loudspeakers—or the virtual game world—all around you.

It’s a different experience than you get with other headphones, and may take a little while to adjust to. For example, sounds coming from sources in the distance will seem farther away, as they would in real life. Even though you might be used to those sounds feeling closer with other headphones, JBL QuantumSURROUND provides hyper-accurate spatialization that can give you a competitive edge.

So spend some time dialing in the EQ to your liking, and see how real-world hearing helps you pinpoint enemies and bring the game to life.

  • If you are not able to turn Spatial Audio on and the option is greyed out on the JBL Smart Tx, then you need to do the following.

    • Open the JBL Headphones app
    • Disable High-Resolution Audio (LDAC)
    • The headphones will turn off and reboot
    • You can enable Spatial Audio after the reboot
  • Make sure both headphones are fully charged to ensure that the issue is not due to one of the earbuds lacking power.

Check that the contact points on the headphones and the charging case are clear of dirt, so the issue is not due to the product not being able to charge.

The LED on the headphones will show a blue light when correctly inserted in the charging case.

Try to reset the headphones if the product is fully charged but are still only working in Mono mode.

A reset guide for the headphones can be found here: Reset guide

  • The connector between headphones and cable is Mini-XLR with lock mechanism. The connector that goes into sources is a combination plug, 3.5mm jack with 6.3mm adapter.

  • LE Audio is the next generation of Bluetooth Audio, making audio streaming over Bluetooth Low Energy possible. It enables new use cases and significantly reduces power consumption compared to Classic (BR/EDR) Audio. LE Audio allows for independently synchronized audio streams to each earbud as well as seamlessly broadcasting audio streams to multiple listeners, with low power consumption. At the heart of LE Audio updates is the new Low Complexity communication codec (LC3). LC3 is a flexible, high performance, low power audio codec that can deliver high quality audio even at lower bit rates. LC3+, as the high-res upgrade, is expected to be supported more widely than any of the other high-res codecs. The JBL Tour 2nd generation is developed to support LC3 & LC3+ and equipped with technology and speaker drivers to support high resolution audio via Bluetooth.
