  • The BASSPRO GO receives is power ONLY from the harness that is connected to the car battery.  When connected to the harness, the car battery will charge the internal battery so that it is ready to be used as a portable the next time you need it.

    When removed from the harness, the full-range portable speaker runs on the internal battery.  It cannot be charged via either of the USB (A or C) jacks.  It will be charged the next time it is connected to the harness in the vehicle.
     
  • The BASSPRO GO uses the original Connect feature.  It is not compatible with devices using the Connect+ or PartyBoost feature.  You can connect up to two BASSPRO GO speakers to each other using Connect, or you can connect a single BASSPRO GO to other JBL speakers that have the same Connect feature, like the Xtreme, Charge 3, Flip 3, and Pulse 2.
     
  • Installation of a powered subwoofer/speaker in an automobile requires specific knowledge and experience.  If you’ve read the manual and do not feel comfortable performing the installation and setup yourself, we recommend that installation be carried out at a specialized center by a professional.
     
  • Under normal usage, the battery should remain at 80% capacity after 300 charge cycles.

    What is a charge cycle?

    Your power bank is 100% charged, and then one cycle means when you discharge the device to 0% and charge it all the way up to 100%. That is one full charge cycle.
  • The Boombox 2 features the same battery capacity as the first generation Boombox. The Boombox 2 battery specs have recently been changed in measurement specifications but still provides up to 24 hours of audio playback.
  • Harman continuously strives to improve the performance of our speakers through software updates in the JBL Portable App. To optimize battery life and performance for your speaker, please perform a software update:
    First download the JBL Portable App from the App store or Google Play store to your mobile device.
    Then connect to the speaker by Bluetooth.
    Open the JBL Portable App and select settings to check and install the new Software version.
    The red dot indicates the presence of an update (see image below).

  • Getting started with the checklist

    • A Harman Kardon Citation device(s).ONE
    • Latest version of the Google Home app installed on your mobile device.GH app 
    • Latest version of the Google app  (Android only) installed on your mobile device
    • A Google Account (you can create one online via Google).
    • A mobile device with either iOS or Android support.
      • ​Must have iOS 10 or higher
      • Must have Android 5.0 and higher
      • There is no support for PC set up.
    • Your mobile device must support 5 GHz Wireless Network connection in order to set up our Harman Kardon Citation device. Note: Wireless Network with WPA2-Enterprise encryption is not supported.
    • An internet connection from your local ISP (Internet Service Provider).
    • Your Wireless Network must secured with WPA2 Encryption (Enterprise mode NOT supported). 
    • Availability and performance of certain features, services and applications are device- and network-dependent and may not be available in all areas; subscription(s) may be required, and additional terms, conditions and/or charges may apply.
    Once you have all requirement and what is needed then follow the video below that shows you how to install your device.

     
  • JBL QuantumSURROUND technology can be used with any type of multi-channel audio content. For example: Netflix content, Blu-ray, and music mixed in 5.1 or 7.1 surround.
  • A new firmware version has been released for the Boombox 2 (Version 0.4.4.0), below is a list of improvements:
    1. Improvements to Bluetooth connection stability.
    2. Support for PartyBoost under aux-in connection.
    3. Improvements for switching between PartyBoost and Stereo mode.
    4. Improvements to firmware update stability with iOS.
    5. Improvements to the stability of switching music between aux-in and Bluetooth connection.

    The firmware update is installed as an OTA update:
    1. Download and install the JBL Portable app from the Google Play/App Store, or simply update the app if you have already downloaded it.
    2. Connect your Boombox 2 to your phone/tablet through Bluetooth.
    3. Open the JBL Portable app and wait for the Boombox 2 to appear.
    4. On the Boombox 2 screen, select settings (gear cog symbol).
    5. Proceed with installing the firmware update.
  • If the buttons on your portable speaker are not working properly or are unresponsive while plugged into a power source, please try running the speaker on battery. If the buttons perform correctly while running on battery, this means your power supply is not providing enough current/amps. Be sure to use a power supply that has a rating equal to or greater than the amperage rating indicated in your product specs.
  • To take a phone call, tap the center button of the right or left ear for 1 second. To hang up a call, tap and hold the center button for 1 second. To ignore a call, tap and hold center button for 3 seconds until music resumes. You may also use the ear buds in MONO or STEREO mode which allows you to make a call or listen to music on either bud independently.
  • The BDS 280/580 or 280S/580S can upscale video signals from its internal drive to UHD format, both DVD and Blu-ray discs. The 280/580 or 280S/580S have pass-through function on the HDMI inputs. They will not upscale standard format or normal HD format video signals that are fed to the HDMI inputs of the 280/580 or 280S/580S. However, 4K or UHD video signals will pass through the BDS directly to the TV screen without processing, as will HD and SD format video. (Bear in mind that this high resolution makes it even more important to use high-quality HDMI cables, especially if they must be several meters long.)
  • Yes, anyone that is near your JBL LINK speaker can get access to previous search history or information about Calendar, Google, Gmail etc., if you have shared this kind of information with the LINK speaker.
  • No, this is not possible. Siri is activated by pressing the play-button for some seconds. Since the play-button on the headphone doubles as on/off button, pressing and holding it will simply turn the headphone off.
  • Many newer routers with auto detect work really well. But if you experience issues with your product, we advise you to disable this feature and have two visible Wi-Fi networks (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz network).
  • No, 4K upscaling is not possible. It was mentioned in the specification sheet and on the web page that this feature was supported, but that is an error.
  • Boost TV is not designed to be wall-mounted. It is designed to be surface-mounted underneath a television.
  • Control Xstream is splash proof (IPX3). Which means that they can be used outside, but they should not be exposed to direct precipitation.
  • Yes, if a telephone is connected via Bluetooth to Horizon, this is possible. When adjusting the wake-up timer, there will be an option to select various wake-up tones, or Bluetooth sound. Select Bluetooth as source, while the telephone is playing the music stored locally, or streaming what you want as wake-up music. When the wake-up adjustment is finished, music will be playing over Bluetooth through the Horizon. Press Pause on the source telephone, or press the round selector button (between the two arrow-buttons) on the Horizon to pause the music. Now the system is ready to wake you up with Bluetooth music. When wake-up time arrives, Horizon sends a Play command to the telephone, and music plays via Bluetooth. You can use music that is stored in the phone, use Spotify or play from the cloud. This has been tested with both iPhone 6 and Samsung S6, and should work flawlessly.
  • No, you will need to use your fingertips, or use special gloves made for touch-screen use.
  • Yes, press and hold the play/pause button for a few seconds. This will activate SIRI on your Apple phone, if the SIRI function has been enabled on the phone.
  • Yes, please use the SUBWOOFER ¼” socket on the main panel to connect an additional subwoofer. This is an unfiltered output, so you will need an active (amplified) subwoofer with its own crossover network.
  • While you have an incoming call, and you can hear the call-tone from your SoundGear, simply adjust the SoundGear's call-tone level to the desired intensity, using the SoundGear's volume buttons.

  • You can't use standard rechargeable batteries with the K912. If you still have the original batteries, and compare them to the generic batteries you are trying to use, you will see the difference on the - ( minus ) side of the battery. On the original battery that comes with the headphones, there is a bare metal band on that side, which connects to a sensor in the headphones ( you can also see this sensor inside the battery compartment, on the - side ). A generic rechargeable battery does not have this metal band for the sensor, so the charger won't charge them. This is for protection, in case you have non-rechargeable batteries in the headphones and put them on the charger. This could cause damage to the headphones.

  • No. The two Soundgears can connect to the BTA, but not to each other. Also, when using one Soundgear, the use of aptxLL may result in a delay. If you are connected to two, the delay may be more noticeable, since LL is no longer active.
  • No, it's not possible to connect simultaneously from multiple devices to the Flip 3 SE. If you need a new device to pair with the Flip 3 SE, please press the Bluetooth button the Flip 3 SE to enable pairing mode. The Flip 3 SE should be available in the list of Bluetooth devices on your mobile phone/tablet
  • No, that is not possible. You can only connect it to WiFi through the settings menu of the BDS. Find your WiFi network and type in password, then your BDS is connected to the network. Or you can use LAN connection.

  • Yes, provided that your computer supports A2DP Stereo audio streaming over Bluetooth, you can connect to JBL EON 208P and EON ONE. If your computer can connect to a mouse, a keyboard or a printer with Bluetooth, but not the EON speaker, please check if A2DP is supported. If it is not, ask the provider or manufacturer of your computer how to establish A2DP support.
  • No, Soundgear is wireless Bluetooth only, and needs to be charged to play music. But the BTA 20 transmitter must of course be connected with a cable to the signal source.

  • Yes, Once you've added your UA Sport Wireless Heart Rate to the UA Record mobile app any workout started on your UA Band will automatically connect to the headphones if powered on and present. The Band will indicate the heart rate sensor is connected and begin showing your heart rate zones using the color LED on the side of the Band.
  • To pair and connect to a different device, press and hold the bluetooth button located on the bottom of the right ear cup until you hear the audible voice stating "looking for device." Make sure the the device you are trying to connect to are in search mode. The headphones should display on "Discoverable Devices" within 2-3 seconds. Choose the Pair option and you should hear the audible voice state "connected" and the LED light should transition into a slow blinking blue light.

    1) double tap the left ear cup, or 2) In the My JBL Headphones app, de-select both assistants.
  • Yes, the JBL Playlist can be reset to factory settings. First, Power ON the JBL Playlist. Secondly, press and hold the Play and Volume (-) buttons simultaneously for about 10 seconds, and after 10 seconds you should see the Play/Pause and Bluetooth button light up, followed by the speaker going into Standby. Once you see the speaker powers back ON, reset is complete.
  • Google has licensed Chromecast to OMNI+ speakers only. Therefore, the only way to listen to TuneIn Radio on first-generation OMNI speakers is to use Bluetooth.
