  • My BDS 2 / BDS 5 seems to permit a maximum of 100 tunes in a music playlist. Is this correct?
    Yes, playlists in these BDS units have an upper limit of 100 files.
  • My BDS has a newer software, than what you have online. What is the correct one?
    We always recommend to use the online updating tool inside BDS, as it is connected directly to our server and if new software are available, it will be there first. We are trying to update our website as quickly as possible.
  • My BDS x35 cannot see any WiFi networks.
    This can be caused by many things. It could be obstacles between your device and router, or that your device has been placed too far away. To enhance the WiFi signal for your BDS, please make sure to place the included antenna on its threaded socket, then try search for any WiFi network again. If this still does not work, try moving your BDS closer to the router until connection is established, ensuring that the BDS WiFi network module is working. If nothing happens, the network module of the BDS or your router have a problem. In case you need more help, contact our support for more tips.
  • My Citation speaker said it needs to be set up, but I have already set it up and it was working previously.
    Make sure your home network's Internet connection is active and the Citation speaker is placed within Wi-Fi range. If you are using a Wi-Fi extender, your speaker may be confused which network to connect to. If this is happening, try moving the speaker closer to the main router and renaming the Wi-Fi extender.
  • My device is waterproof, but what about salt water or chlorine water?
    Your JBL speaker is waterproof with IPX7 rating. (IPX7 means it can survive immersion in 1 meter/3.3 feet for up to 30 minutes.) To maintain the looks and functions of your speaker, please make sure to rinse it with fresh water after using it at a swimming pool or the ocean, then dry off all covers and areas where water can gather. The standard for waterproofing is for tap water. Chemicals and salt in your pool or the ocean can damage the waterproof seals or harm the surface finish over time if not rinsed off after use.
  • My earbuds are disconnected for the left & right, what could I do?
    1. Insert both earbuds into the charging case.
    2. Try to click 5 times on both left and right earbuds button simultaneously, to reconnect left and right earbuds.
     
  • My friend spoke one of my registered commands, but Smartbase does not respond.
    Voice commands can only be triggered by the user who registered them during setup.
  • My Go+Play stands on three of its feet, so it is not stable. How can I make it stand firm on all four feet?
    Fortunately the Go+Play in all versions is made with this problem in mind. One of the feet is adjustable. Look at the four feet. One is different from the others. You can insert a 3mm hex key into the center hole in it, then loosen the foot insert and unscrew it until the unit is steady. The adjustable insert may stick a little, so exert a steady, firm pressure to get it loose if this is the case.
  • My Go+Play Wireless uses up all battery power within about two weeks. Can it be switched off completely, resulting in no power drain?
    The Go+Play Wireless must be in Standby to be able to switch On when receiving a signal. This function uses a small amount of power, and cannot be switched off. Remove batteries when not in use for more than 2 weeks to prevent power draining.
  • My headphones told me heart rate disconnected. How do I reconnect it?
    Tap-hold on the right ear bud forcefully to reconnect heart rate. If this does not work, Hold the middle button to turn off, then back on your headphones.
  • My JBL GO goes into standby when I play quietly. Why is that, and can something be done to change this?
    With some phones, such as iPhones and some Android models, volume is synchronized while Bluetooth is used, and levels below volume setting 6 (tested with iPhone 6 and iPhone 5s) and volume setting 5 on most Android devices will cause the GO to enter standby after some minutes. If you want to play softer while still using your iPhone as a source, please change to cabled connection from the headphone output to the AUX input of GO. This will make it possible for you to set the GO's volume at its minimum step, and then control total level on the telephone. Of course, if source level from the telephone is set extremely low, the GO will go into standby again, because GO needs a certain level to keep playing. Alternatively, use a phone which does not synchronize volume as source. Many Android phones do not synchronize volume, so by using such a phone, you can adjust GO to its lowest level, adjusting total level independently, even via Bluetooth. This will usually result in music volume at the desired level.
  • My JBL Headphones App - Available DJ Signatures
    Some of the DJ EQ curves have been removed from the My JBL Headphones app. Harman will ‘continuously’ update the My JBL Headphones app with new DJ sound-curves as this number changes based on who we sign agreements with and when.
