  • Can the JBL Endurance SPRINT, JUMP and DIVE be used to swim?
    Because bluetooth cannot travel through water, the only Endurance model that is used for swimming is the Endurance DIVE model. The Endurance DIVE model features an MP3 player which allows you to listen to music under water without using bluetooth. Furthermore, only DIVE features a function lock, which prevents water from activating functions inadvertently. SPRINT and JUMP do not have this lock function, and will not work under water.
  • Can the JBL Endurance SPRINT, JUMP and DIVE be used in salt water (i.e. sea)?
    The JBL Endurance SPRINT, JUMP and DIVE can be used in salt water (i.e. sea) but we recommend to thoroughly wash the headphones in fresh water after every use in salt water, to remove the salt residue. Please note that only DIVE can actually be used in water, because it features a function lock and a built-in memory for MP3 music files. SPRINT and JUMP cannot be used in water, because the touch buttons will malfunction when submerged, and Bluetooth cannot function at all under water.
  • Can the Endurance Series be connected to more than one device at a time?
    The headphones can pair to multiple devices but can only be connected to one device at a time.
  • Can JBL Soundgear be used with a TV or with video games?
    Yes, you can use your Soundgear for TV watching or playing video games. You can use the TV speakers and the Soundgear simultaneously, they will be synchronized in time.
  • Can I use the Soundgear with its BTA 20 Bluetooth transmitter with all kinds of sources?
    Yes, all sources that output analog stereo line-level signals or stereo audio optical digital signals may be used, cable-connected to the BTA 20 transmitter. Digital signals must be in PCM format. So if you have a CD player or an FM radio, you can connect the BTA 20 to it, and transmit to your Soundgear (or to other Bluetooth headphones that support the format). Please note that record players need an additional preamplifier to work this way. Of course a TV set can be connected as well, either via optical digital PCM output, via line outputs or via headphone output.
  • Can I use the OMNI 10+, 20+ or 50+ speakers for my TV?
    There is a buffer inside the speakers that processes the incoming signal. This buffer delays the audio signal compared to the video signal, causing a delay. For this, we do not recommend using Omni+ speakers with a TV. Our Omni bar will work with your TV sound and you can create wireless 5.1 surround sound system with the Omni bar.
  • Can I use the JBL Quantum 800 in USB mode
    The JBL Quantum 800 can only be used via a 3.5mm, Bluetooth, or 2.4Ghz wireless connection.
  • Can I use the Game-Chat balance dial on my headset with all connections?
    The Game-Chat balance dial only works when your headset is powered on. Please note that it supports connection with a USB Type A to C cable and a wireless transmitter dongle, but doesn’t support connection through a 3.5mm cable or Bluetooth for mobile games.
  • Can I use the Bluetooth on my Harman Kardon Allure speaker without being connected to Wi-Fi?
    Yes, in case your Wi-Fi does not work then simply press and hold the Bluetooth button for 3 seconds, your speaker is now in pairing mode. The button is located on the back where you connect the power cord. Please be aware that Alexa will not work on Bluetooth.
  • Can I use the AKG N60NC Wireless while it is charging?
    Yes, but only with music via cable, and noise reduction will not be active. As soon as you insert the charging cable micro-usb plug, the Bluetooth and NC functionalities will be switched off, and they cannot be reactivated unless you remove the charging cable, and there must of course be a charge in the battery. If you listen to cabled music while charging, be prepared to hear noise under certain conditions. Both computers and switch-mode power supplies can be very noisy, and this noise can sometimes be heard as a whine or buzz. This can only be eliminated by using a power supply that does not create noise.
  • Can I use my TUNE600BTnc as noise-reduction headset without music?
    Yes, you can activate the noise reduction circuits alone, with no connection to a source device by Bluetooth or cable. The headphones will stay on as long as there is power in the battery, which is close to 30 hours for pure NC function. Please note that there is a slight residual noise from the NC system, which will be drowned out by music playing, or by surrounding noise such as airplane noise. If you use the NC in surroundings that are near quiet to begin with, you may not get an improvement in noise level.
  • Can I use my OMNI+ device without the HK Controller App?
    Streaming via Bluetooth or direct aux in connection are supported without the HK Controller app. For OMNI+ devices that you already have placed in a room, they are capable of using either Spotify Connect or Chromecast built-in without the need of using the HK Controller app. Use only the HK Controller app for setting up any OMNI+ devices you may have.
  • Can I use my E65BTNC as a noise-cancelling headset without music?
    Yes, you do not need to have music playing to keep the noise cancelling switched on. There may be a slight residual hiss from the NC system, which would usually be masked by music, but there will still be a significant reduction of external noise.
  • Can I use my AKG N20 NC even if the battery is not charged?
    Yes, you can use the headphones, but of course the noise cancelling will not be active.
  • Can I use more than one K915 headset with the wireless transmitter?
    No, each headset must have its own transmitter. However, even if you try to use more than one complete set of 915 in the same room simultaneously, it may not work either. Although the 915 has an automatic scan function that finds available slots in the 2.4 gHz transmission frequency band, interference may still occur.
  • Can I use Bluetooth with my Control Xstream
    Yes, that’s the best part about this speaker, there are so many options. Besides streaming over Wi-Fi, the JBL Control Xstream also offers a Bluetooth connection and an AUX input
  • Can I use an Omni+ speaker and a 1st generation Omni speaker together in a stereo pair?
    No, stereo pairs must be two of the same type of speaker. For example, two Omni 10 or two Omni 10+ speakers will work, but not one Omni 10 and one Omni 10+.
  • Can I use Alexa with my Harman Kardon Allure speaker offline?
    No, the Allure speaker requires an internet connection in order to use Alexa voice commands. You can always listen to music via the Bluetooth connection if you are out of range with your Wi-Fi network
  • Can I use AKG N20 NC for telephone conversations?
    Yes, the remote control permits you to pick up and stop a call, and activate the voice assistant to place a call.
  • Can I use 2 JBL Boombox speakers in Stereo?
    Yes, from within the JBL Connect App, when you have 2 JBL Boombox speakers connected, set them in Stereo Mode. When you add a 3rd ( or more ) JBL Boombox speakers, they will automatically revert back to Party mode
  • Can I turn off the light on my Harman Kardon Allure speaker?
    Yes. Go into our HK Alexa Setup app, tap on the 3 line icon and click on "Lightning" to toggle it on and off.
  • Can I stream Google Chromecast via my PC to Control Xstream?
    Yes, Control Xstream is a Chromecast device that allows you to cast music content via your Chrome browser. However, the JBL Control Xstream is not made for video purposes, because there will be delay between sound and image.
  • Can I see my voice interaction history somewhere on my Harman Kardon Allure?
    Yes, you can see all voice interactions with the Harman Kardon Allure by using the Alexa app and visiting History in Settings. Your interactions are grouped by question or request. Tap an entry to see more detail, provide feedback, or listen to audio sent to the Cloud for that entry by tapping the play icon. Sometimes Alexa may not understand you perfectly, and the translations you see in History may not always reflect exactly what you said (for example, they may be inaccurate or incomplete). You can help us improve your experience by providing feedback on inaccurate translations in History.
  • Can I replace the AKG K701 leather headband with the bumps for a smooth one?
    Yes, the smooth leather headband from the K601 can be fitted onto the K701, but since it is probably no longer available as a spare part, the only option is to butcher an old 601 to do it. The work involved is very intricate and complicated, and paying a technician to do it is not an economical solution. Owner must be capable of completely dismantling the headphones, including soldering, and to reassemble them. And Harman cannot offer any assistance in doing this. As of late 2017, a new version of K701 is being marketed by AKG Professional. This version features a smooth headband instead of the version with bumps, so the issue no longer applies.
  • Can I place the JBL Quantum Stream Studio in a different mounting?

    The JBL Quantum Stream Studio comes with an adapter that can be mounted on different boom mic arm systems or tripods. The adapter is already built in the microphone stand so that you always have the adapter close to you when needed. 

  • Can I make phone calls via my Harman Kardon Allure speaker?
    No, this feature is not supported in our Harman Kardon Allure speaker. This might change with future updates. You can call your Amazon friends by using the Alexa app.
  • Can I get wallmounts for Control Xstream
    Please note that although the Control Xstream does have a threaded insert for brackets, JBL offers no brackets. Custom made wallmounts should be used.
  • Can I factory reset my JBL Playlist speaker?
    Yes, the JBL Playlist can be reset to factory settings. First, Power ON the JBL Playlist. Secondly, press and hold the Play and Volume (-) buttons simultaneously for about 10 seconds, and after 10 seconds you should see the Play/Pause and Bluetooth button light up, followed by the speaker going into Standby. Once you see the speaker powers back ON, reset is complete.
  • Can I create a Multi-room system with Harman Kardon Allure?
    Not yet, because this feature is not implemented in our system. We are working on future updates to add the functionality that will make Harman Kardon Allure work in a Multi-room environment.
  • Can I control my OMNI 10+, 20+ or 50+ speakers when I'm on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network?
    Yes, with OMNI+ you can add speakers to both bands, but your smart device is not required to be on the same band, just be sure they are on the same network.
  • Can I connect my Soundgear with analog jack cable, or other cables?
    No, Soundgear is wireless Bluetooth only, and needs to be charged to play music. But the BTA 20 transmitter must of course be connected with a cable to the signal source.
  • Can I connect my Control Xstream speakers to 5GHz Wi-Fi?
    Yes, Control Xstream uses both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHZ wi-fi networks.
  • Can I connect multiple devices to the Flip 3 SE?
    No, it's not possible to connect simultaneously from multiple devices to the Flip 3 SE. If you need a new device to pair with the Flip 3 SE, please press the Bluetooth button the Flip 3 SE to enable pairing mode. The Flip 3 SE should be available in the list of Bluetooth devices on your mobile phone/tablet
  • Can I connect more than one Soundgear to the BTA transmitter?
    No. The two Soundgears can connect to the BTA, but not to each other. Also, when using one Soundgear, the use of aptxLL may result in a delay. If you are connected to two, the delay may be more noticeable, since LL is no longer active.
  • Can i connect 3 or more speakers together with JBL Connect?
    No, for now it is only possible to connect two speakers together using the JBL connect feature. Newer JBL products feature JBL Connect+, which allows you to connect > 100 devices simultaneously, these however are not compatible with older JBL products featuring JBL Connect
  • Can I change the sound filters on my N40 headphone?
    Yes, the N40 is equipped with three different sound filters to provide you with personalized sound tuning capabilities. The sound filter options are bass boost, reference sound and high boost.
  • Can I change the batteries in an AKG K912?
    You can't use standard rechargeable batteries with the K912. If you still have the original batteries, and compare them to the generic batteries you are trying to use, you will see the difference on the - ( minus ) side of the battery. On the original battery that comes with the headphones, there is a bare metal band on that side, which connects to a sensor in the headphones ( you can also see this sensor inside the battery compartment, on the - side ). A generic rechargeable battery does not have this metal band for the sensor, so the charger won't charge them. This is for protection, in case you have non-rechargeable batteries in the headphones and put them on the charger. This could cause damage to the headphones.
  • Can I adjust the call tone level on JBL Soundgear?
    While you have an incoming call, and you can hear the call-tone from your SoundGear, simply adjust the SoundGear's call-tone level to the desired intensity, using the SoundGear's volume buttons.
  • Can Horizon wake you up with Bluetooth music from a telephone?
    Yes, if a telephone is connected via Bluetooth to Horizon, this is possible. When adjusting the wake-up timer, there will be an option to select various wake-up tones, or Bluetooth sound. Select Bluetooth as source, while the telephone is playing the music stored locally, or streaming what you want as wake-up music. When the wake-up adjustment is finished, music will be playing over Bluetooth through the Horizon. Press Pause on the source telephone, or press the round selector button (between the two arrow-buttons) on the Horizon to pause the music. Now the system is ready to wake you up with Bluetooth music. When wake-up time arrives, Horizon sends a Play command to the telephone, and music plays via Bluetooth. You can use music that is stored in the phone, use Spotify or play from the cloud. This has been tested with both iPhone 6 and Samsung S6, and should work flawlessly.
  • Can Control Xstream withstand all weather.
    Control Xstream is splash proof (IPX3). Which means that they can be used outside, but they should not be exposed to direct precipitation.
  • Call Information
    To take a phone call, tap the center button of the right or left ear for 1 second. To hang up a call, tap and hold the center button for 1 second. To ignore a call, tap and hold center button for 3 seconds until music resumes. You may also use the ear buds in MONO or STEREO mode which allows you to make a call or listen to music on either bud independently.
  • Boombox 2 Firmware Version Information
    A new firmware version has been released for the Boombox 2 (Version 0.4.4.0), below is a list of improvements:
    1. Improvements to Bluetooth connection stability.
    2. Support for PartyBoost under aux-in connection.
    3. Improvements for switching between PartyBoost and Stereo mode.
    4. Improvements to firmware update stability with iOS.
    5. Improvements to the stability of switching music between aux-in and Bluetooth connection.

    The firmware update is installed as an OTA update:
    1. Download and install the JBL Portable app from the Google Play/App Store, or simply update the app if you have already downloaded it.
    2. Connect your Boombox 2 to your phone/tablet through Bluetooth.
    3. Open the JBL Portable app and wait for the Boombox 2 to appear.
    4. On the Boombox 2 screen, select settings (gear cog symbol).
    5. Proceed with installing the firmware update.
  • Beyond gaming, how can I use JBL QuantumSURROUND?
    JBL QuantumSURROUND technology can be used with any type of multi-channel audio content. For example: Netflix content, Blu-ray, and music mixed in 5.1 or 7.1 surround.

    • A Google Account (you can create one online via Google).
    • A mobile device with either iOS or Android support.
      • ​Must have iOS 10 or higher
      • Must have Android 5.0 and higher
      • There is no support for PC set up.
    • Your mobile device must support 5 GHz Wireless Network connection in order to set up our Harman Kardon Citation device. Note: Wireless Network with WPA2-Enterprise encryption is not supported.
    • An internet connection from your local ISP (Internet Service Provider).
    • Your Wireless Network must secured with WPA2 Encryption (Enterprise mode NOT supported). 
    • Availability and performance of certain features, services and applications are device- and network-dependent and may not be available in all areas; subscription(s) may be required, and additional terms, conditions and/or charges may apply.

  • BAR 9.1 - battery status
    The Mute+ATMOS combination button press to determine the Battery Status was originally designed for production line testing, not for consumer usage.  We determined that this testing method was inaccurate and began testing using specialized external equipment.  As of Software Version V21.13.11.80, the ability to check Battery Status inaccurately has been removed.

    When charging the satellite speakers you can be confident that the Battery Status is 100% when the LED indicator goes  out.  As well, when the LED begins blinking red, you are at 20% and should recharge or plug in your speakers.

      2. Import MTK patch to solve continuous distortion after connecting Apple TV to a Sony TV while playing PCM stream in eARC source.

  • Are the Y 30 foam ear pads exchangeable?
    Yes, the foam pads are detachable. They are fixed with a flexible lip that sits in a groove all the way round, and are easy to replace.
  • Are the UA Train headphones waterproof?
    UA Train features an IPX4 rating which offers protection from a splash of water in any direction for at least 5 minutes. They cannot be fully submerged in water.
  • Are the Everest 150NC waterproof?
    No. The Everest 150NC do not feature an IPX rating and are not designed to be overexposed to moisture. Overexposure can compromise the controls and sound.
  • AKG Y500 Headphones: Track Control Information
    In order to skip the tracks on the Y500 headphones, slide and hold Volume Up (to skip forward) or Volume Down (to skip backwards) for 3 seconds. These buttons are located on the LEFT ear cup.
  • AKG Y500 Headphones: Pairing Information
    In order to power on and pair the Y500, make sure that the device you are attempting to connect to has the BT on and is in search mode. Move the ON/OFF button from its OFF position to its ON position, which is the middle of the cutout located on the RIGHT ear cup. It will remain there, and the headphones are now ON. The blue LED will start blinking, indicating that Bluetooth pairing is possible. If you need to reset the BT pairing, move the ON/OFF button against the spring load button to the opposite position of the OFF position, and keep it there for 4- 5 seconds. Now the BT system is reset, and new pairing is possible. Please Note: The Y500 features Multi-point Connectivity which allows you to switch from two different devices.
  • AKG Y500 Headphones: Charging Information
    The Y500 features the speed charge (5 min charging time = 1 Hour Playtime) In order to charge the headphones, use the micro USB charger that is included in the packaging. The charging port is located at the bottom of the RIGHT ear cup. Once the headphones are charging, you will see a solid red light next to the port. Once the headphones are fully charged, the red light indicator will turn off. Please Note: You cannot use the headphones via BT while they are charging. However, you can use the headphones via audio cable while charging.
  • AKG Y500 Headphones: Apt-X Codec Information
    The Y500 headphones do not support Apt-X audio codec. However, they do support AAC audio codec.
  • AKG N700NC Headphones: Track Information
    Press and hold Volume Up or Volume Down located on the LEFT ear cup for 3 seconds to skip forward or backward.
  • AKG N700NC Headphones: Power and Pair Information
    Move the ON/OFF button from its OFF position to its ON position, which is the middle of the cutout. It will remain there, and the headphones are now ON.   • AKG N700NC Headphones: Noise Canceling Information
    You can activate the Ambient Aware and TalkThru functions and assign one of them to the smart-button. AA will open the external microphones and mute the music so you can hear what is going on around you. TalkThru permits you to have a conversation with other people in the room, just by pressing the button.
  • AKG N700NC Headphones: Noise Canceling Behavior
    You cannot disengage ANC, it is always on when the headphones are on. However, you can listen to music via cable if you do not switch the N700 on at all, which means that ANC will not be active.
  • AKG N700NC Headphones: Multipoint Bluetooth Information
    The memory can support up to 8 paired devices, but only one device can play at a time on the N700NC headphones.
  • AKG N700NC Headphones: LED Information
