  • What to do if Spatial Audio is not working?

    If you are not able to turn Spatial Audio on and the option is greyed out on the JBL Smart Tx, then you need to do the following.


    • Open the JBL Headphones app
    • Disable High-Resolution Audio (LDAC)
    • The headphones will turn off and reboot
    • You can enable Spatial Audio after the reboot
  • What should I expect after turning on JBL QuantumSURROUND?
    The first thing you’ll notice is that sound no longer feels like it’s “inside your head.” Suddenly it seems like the game audio is coming from high-quality loudspeakers—or the virtual game world—all around you.

    It’s a different experience than you get with other headphones, and may take a little while to adjust to. For example, sounds coming from sources in the distance will seem farther away, as they would in real life. Even though you might be used to those sounds feeling closer with other headphones, JBL QuantumSURROUND provides hyper-accurate spatialization that can give you a competitive edge.

    So spend some time dialing in the EQ to your liking, and see how real-world hearing helps you pinpoint enemies and bring the game to life. 
     
  • What settings should I use to get the most out of JBL QuantumSURROUND?
    Different games have different settings, but as a general rule, make sure that your game outputs multi-channel unprocessed audio. We recommend 7.1 surround, but 5.1 works too. Always disable any other processing (like DTS and Dolby).  
  • What router should i get, to have the best performance for my OMNI+ system?
    To have the best possible performance for OMNI+ system we advise to have a dual-band router with a powerful chipset and ram for best Wi-Fi performance. This will not only help our products to perform better and more stable, but your other devices at home will have more power and fewer interruptions. Please also be sure that your home Wi-Fi router has Multicast enabled, as our Omni+ system requires this feature enabled in order to work (same goes for Chromecast devices). Always connect our Omni+ system to 5 GHz Wi-Fi whenever possible to limit the risk of devices being slow or interrupted on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
  • What platforms can I use with my JBL Quantum ONE headset?
    The JBL Quantum ONE headset is compatible via 3.5mm jack with PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, Mac and VR. You can use the USB connection with PC.
  • What languages are supported by JBL QuantumENGINE?
    The JBL QuantumENGINE supports up to 20 languages. You can select the preferred language in the system section.
  • What is Window Sonic Spatial Surround Sound?
    Windows Sonic is a virtual surround algorithm that is built into Windows 10 PCs. You can read more here:

    Both the OMNI BAR+ and its subwoofer have 200W of power amplification, which means that total system power is 400 W.
  • What is the rated power of the Omni 50+ speaker with and without AC power?
    The Omni 50+ rated power with AC power connected is 4 X 25 Watt. When using battery only, the rated power is 4 X 15 Watt.

  • What is the difference between Soundgear and Soundgear BTA?
    The difference is the BTA unit, which is a Bluetooth transmitter. The Soundgear BTA comes with the BTA unit in the box. The Soundgear does not. The BTA can be connected (with a signal cable) to a TV set, a CD player, or any other stereo line-level source, and can then stream this signal to the Soundgear wirelessly, via Bluetooth. TV sound or game sound are possible, since the BTA and the Soundgear use aptX Low Latency, which reduces the audio delay to levels, where picture and sound will be closely synchronized. This is also the secret behind the option to connect two Soundgears to one BTA unit, for two people to share a TV transmission, or a video game. Actually, you can use the BTA to stream to most other Bluetooth headphones and loudspeakers, but only if these devices also support aptX LL will the delay be low enough for video use.
  • What is the difference between JBL QuantumSURROUND and DTS?
    The JBL QuantumSURROUND algorithm is specifically designed from the ground up to work with JBL Quantum gaming headsets—the software perfectly complements the hardware for incredibly realistic immersion. JBL QuantumSURROUND provides a strong sense of externalization, meaning that sound feels like it’s coming from loudspeakers in a professional listening room—or from the game world around you. With other spatialized audio solutions, it still feels like the sound is coming from the headphones, or just outside of them.
  • What is the diameter of the speaker unit inside the AKG N60NC and N60NC Wireless?
    These two models have 40 mm speaker units.
  • What is the battery life of the JBL Smart Tx?

    The Smart Tx draws power from the source when using it with a USB-C connection. The battery life of the Smart Tx is 18 hours when the product is connected with a 3.5mm aux connection or used without a connection to a power source.

  • What is Spatial 360?

    Spatial sound gives a more natural, realistic and accurate immersive experience whether you are listening to music, movies or games.

    The technology processes more details from any stereo content, which generates reflections and reverberation signals. The integrated head tracking means that sound stay fixed in space even when you turn your head, which adds a new layer of realism to your immersive listening.

  • What is JBL Pro Sound?

    JBL Pro Sound is achieved through robust 40mm Mica Dome drivers, which are precisely tuned to deliver deep bass, balanced mids and crystal-clear highs. Each Mica Dome deliver refined high frequencies above 40kHz for the best on-the-go listening experience.   • What if my game doesn’t support surround sound?
    No worries! You have two options—you can either plug the headset in with the included 3.5mm plug OR simply turn JBL QuantumSURROUND off within the JBL QuantumENGINE.
  • What HDCP version is featured in the AVR and BDS models?
    All AVR models up to and including 151S, 161S and 171S feature HDCP version 1.4. (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection). This is also true for BDS 280, 580, 280S and 580S. It is not possible to update to version 2.2 with any software/firmware update, as this requires a hardware change. Future models may feature version 2.2, made for UHD/4k content.
  • What happens if you have multiple JBL LINK speakers, will all react to "Hey Google" or "OK Google"?
    All speakers are set to react when you use the keywords to interact with Google. To eliminate multiple speakers talking at the same time, using the "Microphone Mute" button will stop the speaker from reacting to the keywords.
  • What else can I do with the QuantumENGINE?
    You can adjust equalizer, RGB LED effects, calibrate Quantum ONE headtracking, change microphone settings and update the headset's firmware.
  • What do the leds indicate on my JBL Boombox?
    Power button, no light: Product is OFF. Power button, constant light: Product is ON. Power button: constant white, when no Bluetooth device connected. Power button, flashing blue in Bluetooth pairing mode. Power button, constant blue light: Bluetooth connected. Battery indicator LEDs: Five LEDs show battery level. When charging, the blinking LED shows how far charging has progressed. When fully charged, the LED lights will turn off. JBL Connect button flashes white in connection mode. When connected: constant light.
  • What do I need to create a 5.1 wireless surround system with my OMNI BAR+?
    All products must be on Wi-Fi 5GHz network, and you need two additional OMNI+ speakers of the same model (2 x OMNI 20+ for example) to create 5.1 wireless surround sound.
