Microphone Cleaning (handheld mics)
There are two very important reasons to keep your microphone clean.
- Hygiene/Germs, especially when a mic is used by multiple people, can unknowingly be spread.
- Dried spit, dust, dirt and debris can build up in the screen and sponge, negatively affecting the microphones’ ability to accurately pick up and reproduce the voice or instrument.
To clean the microphone…
- Remove/Unscrew the grille from the microphone, turning counter-clockwise.
- Remove the foam from the inside of the grille.
- Wash the foam with warm water and dish soap.
- Clean the grille with any household non-abrasive disinfectant/cleaner.
- Thoroughly dry both the grille and the foam.
- Insert the foam into the grill.
- Screw the grille back onto the microphone, turning clockwise.
NOTE: For quality purposes, it is recommended that the screen of the microphone be cleaned once per month when used on a regular basis. For hygienic purposes, when used by multiple people, cleaning is recommended more often, possibly even nightly.

If the wireless mic is out of signal range, you will experience drop outs or no sound. Once range is reestablished, the speaker should automatically detect the mic and resume connection within less than 3 sec.
When a wireless mic is connected, the speaker will play a notification sound once. If two wireless mics are connected at the same time, there may be a 1 sec gap between the two notification sounds.
If one of the wireless mics is not working, we recommend the following:
1. Turn off the speaker
2. Turn on the mic and place it on top of the speaker
3. Turn on the speaker
4. The speaker should automatically pair with the new mic within 3 min and play a notification sound

There are five possible reasons for the receiver shutting down. 1. There is a problem internally with the receiver. 2. There is a problem with one or more of your speakers. 3. There is a problem with one or more of your speaker wires. 4. There is a problem with the speaker wiring done on your system. 5. The unit is overheating. No ventilation. First, check the wiring at every speaker terminal at the back of your receiver and at the back of your speakers. A single strand of speaker wire crossing from one terminal to another would be enough to cause the amp to shut down or go into PROTECT. If you do not find any problems with any of the wiring, you should disconnect all speakers from your receiver. If the receiver continues to go into PROTECT, the problem is in the receiver. Please submit a case on the Contact Us page. They will be able to assist you. However, if it turns on, the problem is elsewhere. Begin reconnecting one speaker at a time. Eventually you will connect a speaker that will cause the receiver to shut down. At this point you have found your culprit. On the other hand, it may just be overheating. You must have at least 2 - 3 inches of space between the top of the unit and any shelf or component above the unit. The unit should not be inside a sealed compartment when being used. The unit must be able to breath. There are very powerful amps in these receivers. If they run too hot, they will shut down. An external fan can help this. Was this helpful?
