  • Connection issues using PartyBoost or Connect+

    If there are drop out or connection issues when using PartyBoost or Connect+, it could be one of three things.

    1.      Units are too far apart (move units closer together) 

    2.      Interference from other 2.4gHz wireless units in the area.

    3.     Unit is no longer working as designed

    Here are some steps to isolate the issue:

     Try taking the units out of the house and test it outside with no interference to see if you still experience connectivity issues. If you still experience connectivity issues, please try steps below:

    Whatever unit drops off, remove that from the chain. Test the rest of the speakers and keep doing it until you find the speaker that is causing the drop outs.  If all speakers begin to drop off, please try a different order and repeat. Repeat this process with each unit being the “main speaker”. 

     Make sure to turn off all WiFi/RF devices. (Router, laptop, baby monitor, Nest cams, IP cams, WiFi switches, WiFi outlets, WiFi lights, cordless phones, etc.) 

    You should be able to identify the issue/speaker by following these steps.

  • Deezer shows an error message when I open it in the HK Controller app.
    If you encounter an "Internal error 300" error message when using Deezer from inside our HK Controller app, we advise you to log out of your account and log in again, still in the Controller app. The error message is a communication error between speaker and Deezer server. If you still encounter this after you have logged in again, please consult our helpdesk.
  • Differences between a traditional loudspeaker system and the Radiance speaker with CBT
    Harman Kardon Radiance 2400 uses patented Constant Beamwidth Technology (CBT) with 24 drivers to create an all-new listening experience. Typical loudspeakers have very narrow sound dispersion in the mid-range and high frequencies, making a very narrow sweet spot for one listener. On the other hand, CBT delivers room-filling sound dispersion and a resulting wide sweet spot, so everyone in the room has great listening experience. The use of CBT allowed us to reduce the cabinet size dramatically. This resulted in a very sleek loudspeaker that does not compromise on sound but looks even better when compared to bulky wooden floor-standing speakers in combination with large AV components.
  • Differences between True Adaptive Noise Cancelling and Adaptive Noise Cancelling

    The True Adaptive Noise Cancelling technology is a features which adjusts noise-cancelling levels in real-time, 50,000 times per second to account for environmental ambient noises and personal attributes such as movement, hair and eyeglasses to deliver best-in-class Noise Cancelling and immersive sound in any environment.  
    With the help of Feed Forward and Feed Backward microphones, the Adaptive Noise Cancelling technology fully monitors exterior sounds picking up low-frequencies and neutralizing them before they reach the ear. The headphones generate a sound that's phase-inverted by 180 degrees to the unwanted noise, resulting in the two sounds cancelling each other out. 
    In addition, all headphones allow the listener to adapt or adjust the level of ambient noise through features like Ambient Aware and TalkThru.

  • Display Timeout and Standby Times
    The display will timeout and switch off automatically after 30 seconds if no buttons are pressed to preserve battery life, but pressing any button will wake the display again. It is not possible to change or switch off the automatic display timeout.

    The speaker itself will turn off automatically after 15 minutes inactive, if no music is playing on any mode or button are pressed (not possible to change).
  • Does a Bluetooth signal wake up the Aura?
    Yes, no matter if Aura is in Sleep mode or Standby mode, an incoming Bluetooth signal will wake it up.
  • Does Adapt stream music to my speakers?
    The Adapt connects to an active speaker or amplifier via the 3.5mm Audio Out jack. It acts a receiving point for Wi-Fi audio streams, upgrading existing audio equipment to work in the Harman Kardon Wireless HD Audio System.
  • Does Boost TV Support AptX Codec?
    No, we only support SBC Codec and AAC Codec.
  • Does Control Xstream have Spotify Connect?
    Yes, Control Xstream supports Spotify Connect, which can be used from the Spotify app if you have a premium account.
  • Does Focus 500/700 feature volume control?
    Yes, the Focus 500/700 features a 3 button mic that features, pause/play, track and volume control.
  • Does Harman Kardon Allure support phone calls using the Alexa app?
    No, this feature is not yet embedded into our Harman Kardon Allure speaker. Future updates might include this feature, therefore keep an eye on the release notes in our HK Alexa setup app.
  • Does Harman Volume on SB20 have more than one level?
    Yes, there are three settings: high, low and off.
  • Does it have automatic standby?
    Yes, after approximately 10 minutes of no activity and no audio, the unit goes into sleep mode. It must be awakened with the ON/OFF Button. It is not possible to wake it up with a Bluetooth pairing signal. After 20 minutes of no activity and no audio, the unit will power off.
  • Does it have phantom power for microphones?
    Yes, EON 208P has a selector switch where you can turn phantom power on/off when needed for condenser microphones on CH1 and CH2.
  • Does it have phantom power for microphones?
    No, there is no phantom power in the microphone inputs.
    All power to active microphones must be supplied from an external source.
  • Does it matter if my game output is 5.1 or 7.1?
    There’s potentially more detail and spatial resolution in a 7.1 channel setup—and the more detail, the better the experience. However, JBL QuantumSURROUND will still work well with 5.1 output.
  • Does JBL Quantum 910 Wireless provide mic monitoring (side tone) feature?
    Yes. You can configure the volume of the mic monitoring in JBL QuantumENGINE. The default setting of the mic monitoring is "OFF”.
  • Does JBL Quantum 910 Wireless provide surround sound?
    The JBL Quantum 910 Wireless provides QuantumSURROUND via the USB connection on PC. 
  • Does JBL QuantumENGINE also support 32 bit Windows?
    No, the JBL QuantumENGINE only supports 64 bit Windows.
  • Does JBL QuantumENGINE software require internet connection to function?
    The JBL QuantumENGINE can run without internet connection, but it needs connection to download and install the software or firmware upgrades.
  • Does JBL QuantumENGINE support x86 CPUs?
    No, the JBL QuantumENGINE only supports x64 CPU Architectures.
  • Does JBL Quantum ONE provide mic monitoring (side tone) feature?
    Yes. You can configure the volume of the mic monitoring in JBL QuantumENGINE. The default setting of the mic monitoring is "OFF”.
  • Does JBL Quantum ONE provide surround sound?

  • Does JBL QuantumSURROUND work with every game?
    JBL QuantumSURROUND works with every game, but the experience is better when your game outputs in surround sound. If your game outputs only 2-channel audio, using JBL QuantumSURROUND will sound like a pair of studio monitors in front of you. You’ll be able to hear the reflections of the sound in the room, but as with any stereo setup, you won’t have any discrete sound sources behind you. With a full 7.1 mix, you’ll be able to hear and locate sounds behind and above you.
  • Does JBL Quantum TWS and JBL Quantum TWS Air support the JBL Headphones app?
    Yes, the JBL Quantum TWS and JBL Quantum TWS air earbuds are compatible with the JBL Headphones app. It'll allow you to control EQ, ANC (only JBL Quantum TWS) and Smart Ambient feature, Smart Audio & Gaming etc. for better experiences with your headset just like other JBL lifestyle products.
  • Does JBL Soundgear have express charging?
    Yes, in two hours, you can charge it to approx. 6 hours of playing time.
  • Does JBL SoundShift work on any/all sources?
    Yes. When SoundShift is active, and your Bluetooth device is connected to your soundbar, you can easily listen to Bluetooth streaming and switch back to the previously selected source just by tapping the pause/play button on your Bluetooth device. When SoundShift is off, your Bluetooth paired device can not interrupt your current source.
